When you arrive at Miss Bush through the double doors of the chapel, the atmosphere is one of instant calm and reassurance. With an impressive vaulted ceiling and beautiful stained glass, the space is light and airy but still intimate; perfectly laid out for trying on dresses. Our Philosophy
Ahead of your appointment at Miss Bush, you will be sent a short questionnaire that allows the experienced Styling Team to learn a little more about your personal style as an individual and gives your stylist insight into your shared vision as a couple.
The stylists know the collections inside out, but their very special skill set is how to filter the infinite number of permutations to perfectly meet a bride’s brief.
The bridal fashion edit is chosen to reflect our taste that and that of our clients. Classic but cool, tailored and wearable, understated but standout.
The Miss Bush reputation is built on fashion and cemented with exceptional service. Frank advice, sensitivity and a sense of humour accompany every appointment and, where possible, any follow up appointments will be with your original stylist.

The chapel is calming and, despite the vaulted ceilings, feels like a very intimate space. Whilst we do offer appointments for up to 3 guests, the bride plus two guests is an ideal party size.
Less guests makes it easier for your stylist to give you very personalised advice and allows for comfortable viewing, gorgeous drinks and perhaps fewer opinions!
Part of the appeal of a visit to The Chapel is an exclusive, private one-to-one appointment with one of our highly experienced and knowledgeable bridal stylists. Availability for these is limited, especially Saturday appointments which are highly in demand. One of the ways we ensure that brides take full advantage of their appointment is to charge a redeemable appointment fee.
To secure one of our exclusive appointments, our fees are as follows:
£50 weekend, £35 weekdays
Revisits: £35
Special events, unless advertised otherwise: £50
Fees are fully redeemable against the purchase of your wedding dress at Miss Bush, so if you do find your dress with us you’ll get this back in the form of a credit note. Click here for full terms.
Prior to your appointment, we ask you to fill out a bridal style quiz so we can use every minute of our time together productively! Once your appointment has been confirmed in our diary, you will receive a Confirmation Email inviting you to take the quiz - there are 15 questions all about you, your wedding and your bridal style. The most important questions can be found in the 'Looks You Love' section, based on the looks you like from our collection as shown on the website here. We hope you'll see the time spent filling out these questions as an extension of your appointment and spend an enjoyable half an hour or so thinking about your future wedding dress!
We politely request that you do not take photographs during your appointment. This is not to stop you having pictures, but to protect the quality of the images. Your stylist will be more than happy to take pictures of you in your favourite dress from the best angles and in the best locations in the chapel, and will forward them to you after!
Appointments may be cancelled/rescheduled via the booking system up to 7 days before your appointment. Appointments after this will not be refunded. If you do need to reschedule during this time, please email us to see if we can accommodate you. Please see here for full terms.
Many brides can feel anxious about trying on weddings dresses, so this year we have introduced Clothes On appointments. These appointments give you the opportunity to sit and have a relaxed chat with one of the team about the dresses to discuss ideas, talk about your day and get to know more about the dress shopping process. You can request this option upon booking.
Please could you bring your own pair of heels to wear with the dresses
Please think about nude, seam free pants to avoid VPL in dresses
Please wear a regular bra with two straps, NOT strapless
Please can you wear light make up and avoid transferrable tanning products
Please can you share our appointment information with your guest

Our price range is from £1800 to £5000
Our usual opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 10am - 5pm, however we are able to be flexible with out of hours appointments if required.

Public Transport
Train From London Waterloo to Woking. Try and get on a Portsmouth Harbour train – the first stop is usually Woking and will get you there in 20 minutes. Very quick! There is a cab rank outside but if you want to pre book cabs the best numbers are 01483 755555 or 01483 715555.
Bus The 515 runs between Guildford and Kingston and stops in Ripley. Agonisingly slow!

From London on the A3 take the Wisley exit.
From Portsmouth, Hindhead or Guildford on the A3 take the Ripley Woking Send exit (B2215).
Miss Bush is based in The Old Chapel in the centre of the village next to Nest Home & Café, behind the classic red phone box…
M25 Jct 10 A3 - southbound in the direction of Guildford/Portsmouth. Almost as soon as you are on the A3 you’ll see signs for the turning off for Ripley.
Approximate timings are 20 minutes from Wandsworth/top of the A3 on a good day.
5 – 10 minutes from Guildford.
Parking
There is on street parking limited to two hours. Alternatively there is parking on the village green. There is a car park in White Hart Meadow (follow signs for Marlborough Place off Rose Lane.)
Parking is a mystery in Ripley, sometimes it’s packed, other times empty. Please allow plenty of time to find a space – there is great coffee shop next door if you need to kill some time.
Be aware that the second Saturday in the month is Farmer’s market day. Great for foodies, less great for parking!
