The stunning Tuscan countryside provided a beautiful backdrop for Louise and Max's Italian wedding, which took place at historic 14th century farmhouse, Borgo Divino, nestled in the hills of Montespertoli.

Louise chose the most perfect dress for the occasion, opting for Ivar by Anna Kara. With a striking silhouette with simple spaghetti straps, a deep v-neckline and a flared mermaid skirt, Ivar is decorated with cut out lace panels to the sides and back, covered in beautiful textured botanical embroidery. Louise styled her dress with a romantic veil, classic nude Louboutin heels and elegant pearl jewellery.

Anna Kara Ivar wedding dress

It was the very first dress I tried on and it's fair to say I knew immediately it was perfect and I wouldn't find anything else quite like it! I loved the simplicity and elegance of the dress with a couple of unique bold statements to make it a really different and 'wow' dress. It was so easy and comfortable to wear which was perfectly suited to our more relaxed Tuscan wedding vision. The deep v with mesh detail at the front was a show-stopper feature, the low back and embroidered mesh detail made it classy and sophisticated from behind and then the fun side splits with matching embroidered mesh detail gave the statement features from all angles - I felt like a Tuscan Angel all day! The fact that is was so effortless to wear meant I could wear it all day and night, including our after-party in the Wine Cellar!

I brought my Mum & my 2 Maids of Honour, my sister and best friend when I found the dress. Given it was the first dress I tried on, expectations were low so it was a bit of a shock to love everything about it straight away! They cried, I even had a tear (not expected) and when I put it on with a veil I knew that it was the one!

Dress Shopping at Miss Bush

The dress shopping experience at Miss Bush was by far the best and most enjoyable. Even though I knew the first dress was the one, I still shopped around to be 100% sure and to make the most of it - you only get to try on wedding dresses once! The gorgeous chapel building, champagne and staff make it a truly special experience. Big shout out to Rosie, she was amazing!

The full team were super responsive no matter what the question and calmed me as well when it was needed.

Styling

I styled the dress with the Couture Veil single layer Abstract Chloe disc long veil which complimented the simplicity with bold features style. For the shoes, I chose some classic Nude patent Louboutins, again a simple design with the bold red sole. I then wore a simple diamond necklace borrowed from my sister from her wedding day and diamanté pearl drop hoop earrings with matching bracelet from Lily & Roo.

A fun, elegant wedding in Tuscany

We had a 4 day exclusive stay at Borgo Divino in Tuscany where the majority of the guests could stay at the venue (one of the main reasons we chose it) where we had 4 fun filled days all together like a mini holiday which was amazing! The Wedding Day theme was 'Tuscan wedding casual' so a more relaxed, less formal wedding but still with all the key elements. Some of my favourite features were the Ceremony backdrop view over the Tuscan hills; the Aperitifs overlooking the infinity pool whilst listening to our amazing musicians including Saxophonist; the Vespa and Aperol Spritz tower making for a true Italian theme (yes I rode the moving Vespa in my dress); the rustic fairy-light lit courtyard dinner of dreams & of the course the all-night dancing outside and wine cellar after-party!!! We also had a theme tune and hashtag for the day of 'That's Amore' due to our wedded surname including 'Moore' which was very fitting!

Fun fact: The Wedding Day was actually moved 1 day earlier than planned due to a bad weather forecast on the initially planned day - nothing like a bit of wedding drama! We were super lucky as all our guests were already there and the suppliers could all make the alternative day - hugely worthwhile as we had a 26 degrees beautifully sunny day versus thunder and lightning the next day!

The best bits

The whole day was magical, everyone always says it's the best day of your lives, but until you experience that you can't resonate - it truly is!

The fact that all your favourite people are together in one place, celebrating your love - it's unique and unforgettable.

Louise's Advice

It always helps to have some sort of vision, even if it's just words or random images you've found online and show these to your dress fitting advisor who will then be able to suggest designs to suit - be open minded!

For the wedding planning, try not to over-think every element, go with your gut as your first thoughts are usually what you really want from my experience and enjoy the process! It really will be the best day of your life, even if it doesn't fully go to plan!
