For brides planning a summer wedding, we have a joyful, modern countryside celebration to share with you today, packed with inspiration. Lauren and Josh were married in mid August at The Barns at Redcoats in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, surrounded by stunning scenery, with elegant styling, beautiful flowers and thoughtful, personal touches to make the day extra special.
Lauren wore a custom Jesus Peiro wedding dress, combining elements she loved from two different styles. The look started with the 2565, taking the chic square neckline and bold puff sleeves in floaty silk gauze. This was paired with the 2212 wrap skirt with front split, perfect for showing off Lauren's gorgeous Loeffler Randall bow embellished platform sandals.

Custom Jesus Peiro wedding dress
When I got engaged, I made a Pinterest board and it was clear that a statement sleeve was something I loved!
I knew I wanted something modern yet timeless, by combining the Jesus Peiro 2565 square neck and gorgeous puffed sleeves in silk gauze, with the 2212 wrap around skirt we found the perfect combination for me.
I first visited Miss Bush with my Mum, sister and best friend and tried on the JP 2565 first, as it was why I had come to Miss Bush. I think we all knew it was the one!
Dress Shopping at Miss Bush
It's one of those things you dream about when you're a little girl and it was so special to get to try on different styles of dresses and fully immerse myself in the bridal bubble! Finding the one I loved and getting to have that moment with those that mean so much to me, was wonderful.
Although completely sold on the puff sleeves, I was hugely indecisive and actually change my mind on the skirt. The Miss Bush team were amazing at letting me come back to try on some alternative options. Emma & the team were wonderful and incredibly helpful through the process.
Styling
I really felt the dress was the statement so wanted to keep everything else very simple. I had a single tier veil and gold stud earrings.
I wore Loeffler Randall champagne bow platform heels to complete the look.
A modern, joyful wedding at The Barns at Redcoats in Hitchin
We got married in Hertfordshire at a beautiful venue call The Barns at Redcoats. Going to the Chapel played aloud to get our guest excited for the bridal party entrance and then the wonderful Roxy Searle performed 'Just the way you are' (James Smith version) whilst we walked down the aisle.
Having our 2 year old daughter there was incredibly special, she got Grandad to make two trips down the aisle.
We were blessed with glorious August sunshine, so had our ceremony outside. The ceremony felt very personal and special to Josh and I, we wrote personalised vows to one another and our celebrant Emma, told our story in the most magical, captivating way.
Pimm’s on the lawn, paired with a delicious Ice cream from the cutest pink candy stripe ice cream van - Polly's Parlour - for our guests.
The barn at the venue is beautiful, so we kept the styling simple which a whimsical feel - whites, sage green and lilacs.
We had personalised tambourines for our guests, which made our entrance as 'Mr & Mrs' such an epic moment of dancing, singing and happiness!
Box Party band helped us dance the night away, with a special Mumford & Sons number for the Groom.
The best bits
Special morning with my mum, daughter and bridesmaids.
Walking down the aisle with my dad, seeing everyone we love there and taking it all in.
We had a surprise singalong at the end of our speeches, Elvis 'The Wonder of You', which was a wonderful moment to share with our loved ones. We had the words printed on the back of the menus and it really was a joyous, memorable moment that we won't forget - especially my Grandad singing his heart out along from us!
Dancing the night away with our friends and family.
Lauren's Advice
Make sure you pick a dress that feels right for you and you can feel confortable in all day, not getting caught up on trends or what other people think!
Make the planning enjoyable with your other half. It's going to be a magical day.
