It is a delight to share Poppy and Will's beautiful wedding with you today! The day began with the couple exchanging vows at Hambleden Church, Henley-On-Thames, decorated with the most stunning floral arch from Wizz and Wild. This was followed by a dreamy fairytale reception at The Woodland Lodge, also in Henley-On-Thames. The marquee set up was styled exquisitely with even more incredible floral displays and pops of bright pink, matched perfectly to the bridesmaids magenta gowns.

Poppy wore a custom wedding dress from Jesus Peiro, combining elements she loved from two different styles to create her dream look. The result featured the bold puff sleeves and square neckline from 2214 and 2406 with a full, statement skirt, all made from crisp silk mikado. Poppy styled her bridal look with a classic full length veil, sentimental jewellery borrowed from her mother and grandmother, as well as the most fabulous pair of silver platform sandals from Gucci.

Poppy's Custom Jesus Peiro wedding dress

My dress was a combination of 2214/2406 by Jesus Peiro.

I knew I wanted a timeless dress that felt classic but also modern and very me! I knew I wanted drama but in a classic way and the big puff sleeve and even bigger skirt gave me that and more.

I was actually with my lovely Mummy and Mother in Law when we first pieced together the dress... we just knew it was right!

Dress Shopping at Miss Bush

My favourite part of the dress shopping experience was seeing the dress in all its glory! Nothing prepares you for that, the toile gives you a glimpse but when you see the dress, in the fabric you really start to visualise yourself as a bride

Before finding Emma & the Miss Bush team I was really uninspired, materials were drab and there was a lack of creativity in the industry. My first appointment with Emma completely changed my outlook on the process and helped me to get excited and enjoy it!

Styling

I had the most gorgeous Jesus Peiro veil with thick ribbon and organza to frame the face! More drama!

I wore my mother's gorgeous Kiki McDonough necklace, my grandmothers diamond tennis bracelet and her eternity ring too.

I added to the look with some platform silver Gucci shoes and gorgeous Jimmy Choo bag.

A romantic, fairytale wedding

We got married at St Mary the Virgin Church in Hambleden, Henley-on-Thames, lovely Issy from Wizz & Wild adorned the Church with beautiful pinks, blush flowers with a striking arch on the church door filled with hydrangea, peonies and more.

We then moved to the Woodland Lodge a true fairytale destination, set in the middle of the woods! Marquee was overflowing with flowers and pure joy. A gorgeous Twilight Tree took centre stage - in pink and the flowers were in abundance, there were pops of pinks everywhere in a classic, very English countryside way.

The bridesmaids wore Magenta pink dress by Australian designer Aje. Think puff sleeves - more drama.

Our cake was by Sophie Cabot, a blush pink dream with a gorgeous flowing bow.

Poppy's Advice

Trust the process! It's a journey which sometimes feels like a rollercoaster but have a vision and stick with it!

On the day, spend as much time as possible with your husband/wife! You want to remember the day together, not apart.
