Suzanne Neville Gabrielle wedding dress for Charlotte and Charles’ wedding at The RSA

It has been a while since we have featured a wedding at The RSA, so we were delighted to see Charlotte and Charles' wedding drop into the inbox! It's a fabulous venue and we LOVE a central London wedding! Taking place in early April, the wedding is the epitome of chic London style, with portraits on the banks of the Thames with iconic landmarks as the backdrop. The venue provides the perfect location for a stylish black tie wedding, with tons of incredible art and architecture to create a unique stylish event.

Charlotte wore Suzanne Neville's Gabrielle wedding dress. With a chic off-the-shoulder neckline above a fitted bodice and split skirt, it was the perfect choice for Charlotte's relaxed but stylish wedding day. To style her look, Charlotte added a simple cathedral length veil, along with iconic Manolo Blahnik Hangisi heels for her 'something blue.'

Read on to see all of Charlotte and Charles' gorgeous wedding photos and to find out more about the bride's stunning dress.

A Suzanne Neville Gabrielle wedding dress

I choose Susanne Neville Gabrielle. I loved how clean the lines of the dress were. Being very much smaller in stature (5 foot on a good day!) I wanted something that didn’t overwhelm and this dress was perfect!

I brought my Mum the first time I went to Miss Bush, who unbelievably was lost for words! I don’t think anyone who knows her believes me when I say that! Very sensibly Emma told us to go away and have a think and I brought my godmother and my mum the second time. They were both convinced as soon as I walked out that this was my dress! To be honest I knew the first time I put it on!

Dress Shopping

I loved coming to the chapel the first time and Emma making me feel like I was on a bridal catwalk ! Even though a lot of the things I tried on were so far out my comfort zone they were never really considered. but it really made me relax and remember, that it’s all actually so fun!

Styling

I choose a single layer, cathedral length veil, I really wanted the simplicity for the dress and fit to be the feature. I wore blue manolos which my lovely husband bought as a surprise before I even got the dress! All my jewellery was vintage, inspired by my engagement ring from my granny.

A chic and fun London wedding at The RSA

We got married at the RSA just off The Strand. We love London, live there, dated there and built our lives together there, so there really was no debate on location. The venue is the Royal Society of arts so were very lucky to have several styles through out the day. We started with all the Georgian grandeur and we kept things very traditional with black tie, neutral flowers and string duo. Then by the evening we had moved to the vaults surrounded by modern art, with our abstract cake, love band with saxophone and bow ties very much off!

The best bits

Gosh where to start! I think our little wander after the wedding breakfast the two of us was a real highlight. We went through Gordon’s wine bar, a favourite date location, where everyone was cheering and clapping. A very surreal moment and something we will remember for many years to come, when we go back for a glass of wine and remember that’s where we walked through on our wedding day !

Charlotte's Advice

Try to enjoy all the moments! Even when you are there covered in feathers and sequins and you know it’s not what you want, who cares! It’s so so fun! And when else in adult life do you get to play dress up. It’s all part of the process, so enjoy it and the right dress will find you eventually.
