Jesus Peiro 166 for Katie’s fun, relaxed Milbridge Court wedding

We're delighted to share Katie's beautiful Surrey wedding with you today. Katie married Mark not far from Miss Bush, at Millbridge Court, an exclusive use wedding venue in a modern converted barn. The wedding features some of our favourite local suppliers, with catering by Kalm Kitchen and flowers from Miss Bush favourite Gill Pike, as well as stationery from the lovely Lou Paper.

Katie wore a classic Jesus Peiro wedding dress, the iconic Style 166. This is a quintessential look from the Spanish brand, combining their love for clean, minimalist lines with a striking silhouette and chic sports luxe vibe. To style her look, Katie added beautiful open toe shoes with bow detailing from Charlotte Mills along with a romantic veil from Nortier at Miss Bush.

Jesus Peiro 166 wedding dress

I went for the classic Jesus Piero 166 Wedding Dress.

Before arriving at Miss Bush I always knew I would be wearing a Jesus Piero dress down the aisle.

The 166 was 'that' dress I kept on looking at before my appointment. Convinced that you never go with the first choice I went to my appointment with an open mind.

What I loved most about the Jesús Peiro 166 was its attention to detail. The subtle high neckline felt modern yet modest. The structured bodice gave me posture and confidence, while the box pleats added a gentle volume to the skirt without overwhelming me. My friends joked I would be walking down the aisle in gym leggings and a sports bra. This dress completely made me feel like myself and I was obsessed with the cross back. I kept the dress on all day and night and didn't want to take it off.

My mum, bridesmaid Sian and man of honour Matt came dress shopping with me. Each had their own opinions, but all knowing me better than anyone.

It was between the 2544 and the 166. Both very different dresses. My mum wasn't sure on the polka dot material of the 2544 and said it didn't look very me.

As soon as I put on the 166 we all quietly knew it was the one.

Dress Shopping

My favourite part of the dress shopping experience was how amazing and patient Ben was!

I felt completely at ease. Ben has this incredible ability to make you feel like the most important person in the room—never rushed, never pressured. Just genuinely excited to help you find the dress that feels like you. And let’s be honest—the setting itself is a dream. The chapel at Miss Bush is absolutely stunning. There’s something about trying on gowns in a space that feels so full of character.

The Miss Bush team were amazing at fitting me in for appointments during half term and made time for evening fittings during term time, which honestly made all the difference. There was never any stress about timings or pressure to rush—it felt like they genuinely cared about making the process as smooth and enjoyable as possible for me.

Styling

I wore the most beautiful Nortier veil which looked stunning with the dress.

My shoes were Charlotte Mills which I saw while trying on my dresses in the chapel and decided to order.

I wore some small diamond circle earrings which went beautifully with my dress.

A fun, relaxed wedding at Millbridge Court

We got married at Millbridge Court in Frensham, a venue that stole our hearts the moment we saw it. It’s elegant, full of natural light, and surrounded by the kind of quiet countryside beauty that makes everything feel peaceful. We enjoy many many Sunday walks around the surrounding area so it was perfect for us!

What made the day truly special, though, were the people. We were surrounded by loved ones who travelled from Ireland, Vienna, Wales, Amsterdam, and Cornwall to be with us. And of course—we couldn’t leave out Crumble, our beautiful family dog, who joined in the festivities like the true VIP she is. She even had a matching Liberty of London bandana to match the boys!

We also found fun ways to bring our little family into the party. Our personalised cocktails were each named after our three cats, which became a bit of a talking point at the bar (and a hit with guests, too!). It was these little details—quirky, heartfelt, and unmistakably us—that made the day feel so full of love.

In the evening, we had a medley band called 'Truly Medley Deeply'. The dancefloor was packed from start to finish and of course we munched on late night pizza- our favourite snack!

The best bits

One of my favourite moments was before any guests arrived—walking downstairs and seeing the venue being transformed. The flowers were absolutely flawless and so beautiful. Shout out to Gill who smashed the brief!

One was during dinner: sitting down at our long banquet tables, surrounded by all the people we love most in the world, glasses full of rosé (my absolute favourite!), laughter echoing around the room, and lovely food in front of us. It felt like a family get together— relaxed, and full of love.

I also LOVED our first dance. We’d planned something really special—I had secretly briefed all of my bridesmaids and the groomsmen to join us on the dancefloor at a specific point in the song. When they came in, it turned what could’ve been a quiet, slightly nerve-wracking moment into an explosion of fun, energy, and joy. It felt like the perfect symbol of our whole day—surrounded by love, not taking ourselves too seriously.

Katie's Advice

If I could offer any advice to brides-to-be, it would be this: enjoy every single moment. It all goes by so quickly—the planning, the fittings, the celebrations—so try not to get too caught up in the details. The small things that feel huge in the moment truly do fade, and what you’ll remember most is the love, the laughter, and how you felt.
