Jesus Peiro 121 wedding dress for Amy and Tim’s Morden Hall London wedding
Our post today showcases a classic, elegant London wedding, featuring our bride Amy in Jesus Peiro 121 to marry Tim at Holy Trinity church in Clapham, followed by a reception at Morden Hall, London. The day was beautifully styled with Spring florals in whites, greens and touches of pink to contrast perfectly with the navy blue bridesmaid dresses.
Jesus Peiro 121 was the perfect choice for Amy's wedding, with its contemporary wrap skirt with split front and elegant open back with crossover spaghetti straps. Amy styled her dress with simple block heels and an exquisite embroidered veil decorated with bluebells, daisies and ferns, along with the bride and groom's initials and wedding date. To finish her look, Amy added classic pearl drop earrings and a gold bracelet.

Jesus Peiro 121 wedding dress
I chose the Jesus Piero 121 - it was the first dress I tried on at Miss Bush and I immediately loved the simplicity, the split skirt and of course the pockets! I felt so confident in the dress on the day and it was so comfortable to wear.
Dress Shopping
My mum and sister came along to Miss Bush with me. I had already been to two other shops with my mum where I had found some dresses I liked but I still wasn't 100% sure. We came to Miss Bush, which had been recommended by two friends, and immediately felt in safe hands with Ben. The 121 was the first dress I tried on, and I really liked it straight away, but wanted to make sure I had seem a few more options. However, we kept coming back to the 121, and my mum later said she knew that was the one straight away but didn't want to say until I had made up my mind as well.
It was so lovely having my mum and sister here for this important day, and it was the only appointment they were both able to come to so I am so glad it was where we found the dress!
I had two friends who had also got their dresses from Miss Bush and I was worried about accidentally choosing one of the dresses they had (as neither of them had got married at the time) but the team helpfully took their dresses off the floor for my fitting so I couldn't do that.
Styling
I loved the clean, modern lines of the 121 so wanted to mirror that in the rest of my look. For shoes, I chose a pair from Lace and Favour, with an elegant cross strap and a block heel comfortable enough to stay in all night. I ordered a plain full length veil from Miss Bush and had it custom embroidered by my very talented friend and bridesmaid at Hannah Cummings Embroidery with bluebells, daisies and ferns, as well as our initials and the wedding date which made it so special and personal. For jewellery, I wore a gold bracelet and drop pearl earrings. I went for an up-do with my hair to show off the neckline and lovely back details of the dress. I changed into a white sequinned dress from Rixo around 10pm for the last few hours of dancing!
An elegant London wedding at Morden Hall
Morden Hall is the most amazing country house in beautiful gardens, while also being just 5 minutes from Morden underground station. We were blessed with only a few spots of rain all day, and the sun even made an appearance mid-afternoon, allowing our guests to be outside for canapés to enjoy the lovely grounds. For the flowers, we knew we wanted whites, greens and touches of pink to pop against my dress and navy bridesmaids dresses. Our florist, the lovely Sarah at Belting Blooms, took our very vague vision and made it so much better than we could have imagined. My Grandad made us wooden signs to help direct guests to and from the tube which we painted with "Just Married", London Underground logos and lobsters, and we also hand painted a wooden "Order of the day", to add a handmade touch as I had also hand painted our wedding invite.
After dinner, we did "cocktail hour" where our evening guests arrived and everyone had a chance to mingle, helping make a smooth transition into the evening and get everyone in the mood for dancing. For the party, we knew we wanted Ben Noke, an amazing live pianist we came across at Tooting Market who takes requests and knows how to keep the dance floor full from start to finish. Alongside Adam who played the drums, we had a fantastic party set and all our guests loved how different it was to be able to make requests. We had the best time dancing the night away.
The best bits
Too many to count! A really special time was travelling from the church to the venue as a just married couple in our vintage Bentley and having a moment to ourselves. Once we got to the venue, we had more time than we thought to chat with our guests before dinner and we loved seeing everyone we know mingling and enjoying each others' company. I loved our evening party as well but the whole day was just wonderful.
Amy's Advice
Trust your suppliers! They are professionals and they will be able to take and elevate whatever visions you communicate with them. We were so pleased with all our suppliers and the all contributed to making our day run smoothly.
If budget permits, I would also recommend a pre wedding "engagement shoot" with your photographer to break the ice and get used to being photographed if you haven't before, and you get some lovely images too!
