Suzanne Neville Amber with custom Nortier sleeves for Hannah’s chic Kin House wedding to Jack

We have a wonderful wedding to share with you today, featuring Miss Bush bride Hannah wearing Suzanne Neville Amber. Hannah and Jack's chic, elegant day took place at Kin House, a stunning Georgian stately home set in beautiful grounds in the idyllic Hampshire countryside. The day was beautifully styled with elegant florals and personal touches to make the day extra special.

Hannah wore the iconic Amber wedding dress by Suzanne Neville, with a few amendments to make her look unique, and to reflect Hannah's own personal style. The dress was a custom version of Amber, made up in a sleek satin fabric, with the usual full length sleeves removed and replaced with wide shoulder straps. Hannah then opted to have an incredible pair of custom sleeves created by our Miss Bush in-house atelier, Nortier. These beautiful sleeves were made from a lightweight vintage tulle, brought together with satin ribbon and gathered at the wrists. We also created these to be detachable, allowing Hannah to transform her look for the reception - perfect for dancing! To accessorise her outfit, Hannah chose a classic ribbon edged waterfall veil from Jesus Peiro, which she switched for a stylish velvet bow by Camilla King Millinery in the evening. For her footwear, Hannah chose to wear a pair of chic gold wedges from Loeffler Randall.

I loved working with the Miss Bush team to create my one-of-a-kind dress.

I knew before I stepped foot in Miss Bush that I wanted a classic, fitted silhouette - but something that I could also bring my own style and personality to. Suzanne Neville’s ‘Amber’ was the first dress I tried on at Miss Bush and I knew it was the one as soon as I put it on.

I loved the corseted bodice as well as the 90s-esque square neckline, but I knew I wanted to customise a few things to really make it my own. Emma suggested that I alter the fabric to a satin silk which felt so fitting for my Autumnal / Winter wedding. I also had something a little more dramatic and romantic in mind for the sleeves. I looked both at my own wardrobe and some of my favourite designers for inspiration, and worked with the Miss Bush team to create the sleeves of my dreams! I especially loved the use of the ribbon which was then reflected in my Jesús Peiró veil.

It was the most beautiful dress I have ever worn and I felt so amazing in it!

I brought my mum and sister with me to my first appointment at Miss Bush. They could tell by my smile, and I could tell by theirs, that both the dress and veil were ‘the ones’.

Dress Shopping

The whole experience with Miss Bush - from first appointment to final fitting - could not have been more perfect; I loved absolutely all of it! I especially loved creating the bespoke parts of my dress - coming in to my design appointments to see how my dress was evolving was just so exciting.

Problems or issues Miss Bush team helped with... Two weeks before my wedding I had a last minute panic about my sleeves and the Miss Bush team could not have been more amazing. From emails to phone call and last minute, additional appointments, they really did pull out all of the stops - I could not have felt in safer hands.

Styling

In terms of jewellery, I wore a necklace made with a sentimental diamond, designed by Edwina Elkington (who also designed my engagement ring) and borrowed gold hoop earrings with diamond drops from one of my closest friends.

I wore gold wedge Loeffler Randall shoes - which were surprisingly comfortable (and which I can't wait to wear again!)

I had my beautiful Jesús Peiro ribbon veil for the ceremony and when I took it off, I had a custom Camilla King Millinery white velvet bow with my new initials embellished in pearl beads.

I had also asked for my custom sleeves to be removable, so when it came to the dance floor I was able to take them off and change the dress up for the evening!

I wanted to make sure that the wedding felt both fitting for the time of year and really felt like "us". That was the main thing I kept in mind throughout the planning process!

The best bits

I really wanted to make sure that both my and my (now!) husband’s families felt really involved in the wedding - from doing readings, to being bridesmaids and ushers, to witnessing our marriage, all the way through to playing the guitar whilst the bridal party came down the aisle. It was so special to celebrate not just us as a couple, but also our families coming together too.

Hannah's Advice

I would say that the process of planning has taught me that ultimately no one is a mind reader - it really does help to have images and inspiration of what you like and why. Moodboards were definitely my best friend in working out what we wanted the wedding to be like!
