We're so pleased to share Bea and Tom's laid-back countryside wedding with you today! Taking place in the Cotswolds, the day began with a beautiful traditional church ceremony at Chipping Campden Church. This was followed by a relaxed reception in the barn at Mickleton Hills Farm, filled with stunning floral arrangements and surrounded by beautiful scenery. With a soundtrack provided by a brass band, cocktails flowing and delicious seasonal, locally sourced catering, the day was fun, relaxed and filled with joy.

Bea wore Jesus Peiro's 2507 satin wedding dress, with the co-ordinating silk gauze coat. The elegant cut, curved square neckline and softly flared skirt were the perfect choice for the laid back vibe of the day, whilst the cape added just the right amount of drama for the ceremony. Later in the day, Bea swapped the cape for a pair of custom puff sleeves, adding a fun element for the evening reception. To accessories her look, Bea chose an iconic pair of Manolo Blahnik heels, along with classic pearl drop earrings and a Monica Vinader bracelet.

Jesus Peiro 2507 wedding dress

When I put on the dress I instantly knew this was what I wanted to wear on my wedding day. The fabric and cut felt luxurious but I was able to dance easily and the cut was flattering even after enjoying our wedding meal!

I knew I didn’t want to wear a veil but, as we were getting married in a relatively grand church, I was keen for some drama - the cape ticked this box! The Miss Bush team adjusted this so that it hooked to my upper back and looked almost like a pleated jacket before flowing out.

My only negative about the JP 2507 was the lack of puff sleeves but Adrien created the perfect puffs to hook on when the cape came off. My sisters popped these on for me before I walked into the wedding meal with Tom and I loved that I could still wear my dress but with more of a party look for this part of the day!

Dress Shopping at Miss Bush

I brought my mum and younger sister dress shooping with me (and had my older sister on FaceTime from afar!). I’ve always been indecisive and a nightmare to shop with but this was the easiest shopping decision I’ve made. We all agreed that I’d found the dress!

Rosie did such a great job at giving me the opportunity to try on different styles as Miss Bush was the first wedding dress shop I’d been to. During the fittings she gave loads of advice about small adjustments to make the dress my own and ideas for accessories. I didn’t expect this to be such a fun and relaxed experience.

Styling

One of my closest friends works at Manolo Blahnik and her discount meant that I had the perfect pop of sparkle peeking out from under my dress when I walked. I wore these until midnight as they were so comfortable! The white satin had a few small marks by the end but I dyed them black and have since worn them for several black tie events.

A Monica Vinader bracelet was my ‘something old’ as it was a gift from my best friends for my 25th birthday. And a pair of Completedworks earrings finished off the look.

A laid-back countryside wedding

Tom and I got married in Chipping Campden church - the town where my dad grew up and where Tom’s parents now live. The night before the wedding Tom stayed at his parents’ house and he walked up to The Eight Bells pub next to Chipping Campden church for a drink with the guests before the ceremony.

I stayed at Mickleton Hills Farm with my family the night before the wedding and we had a laidback morning getting ready - with my mum’s long-standing hairdresser Stuart Holmes doing our hair and my sisters’ partners delivering pastries to the getting ready room!

I travelled in a classic car with my dad to the venue and hearing the church bell as we drove into the town and my dad helped me out of the car will be a memory that sticks with me.

We had a ceremony at the church in Chipping Campden with my gramps and one of our best friends Beth doing readings and our mums as witnesses when we signed the register. My older sister (and bridesmaid) Soph did a great job at smoothing the train of the cape during the service!

We then travelled to Mickleton Hills Farm and we walked into the barn full of our friends and family with Mama Brass playing live music on the wooden mezzanine above. The drinks reception was spent partly in the barn and partly outside in the courtyard - the dress code for the guests was colourful and they did a great job of brightening up the slightly grey weather!

Walking into dinner with Tom having changed from the cape to the puff sleeves, with Bamboleo playing and our friends and family shaking maracas and waving their napkins is another core memory. My dad, Tom and Tom’s best man Jack spoke between the courses at dinner and each one of their speeches was very special.

Two of my best friends Georgie and Jess were our MCs and they organised for the Conga to come on and filed the guests out after dinner and straight into a cocktail reception. A few spicy margs and negronis later and the dance floor was packed with the jazz band Mama Brass back to play another few sets after dinner.

The best bits

Walking out of church with Tom after just getting married and through a line of our favourite people throwing confetti - my huge smile says it all!

Toms speech at dinner was also a highlight - we’ve been together since we were 18 so he had plenty of time to write it (!) but it was the funniest and most emotional groom’s speech I’d ever heard.

Bea's Advice

Definitely head to Miss Bush, you’re in safe hands!
