Our post today feature's Iona and Sam's stunning castle wedding which took place at the incredible Cluny Castle in Aberdeenshire, with stunning images captured by Miss Bush favourite Voyteck.
Iona chose the most perfect wedding dress for the regal setting, opting for Suzanne Neville's Bussotti. This classic, elegant gown features a structured corset bodice for an incredible fit, along with wide shoulder straps, a delicate curved neckline and full a-line skirt. To style her look, Iona kept things chic and simple, selecting classic pearl drop earrings and a pair of Gucci horsebit sandals. A romantic full length veil with exquisite lace edging was added for the perfect finishing touch.
Read on to find out more about the day, with words from the bride about her dress and wedding to Sam.
Suzanne Neville Bussotti wedding dress
I wore a Suzanne Neville dress. I absolutely loved the fit of Suzanne’s dresses I knew as soon as I tried it on I wanted to wear one of her dresses.
I always knew I wanted a long train and veil but I knew this wouldn’t work with dancing all night long especially as we were having a ceilidh so having the overskirt was perfect.
I would never really describe myself as elegant I have my own dog walking business and spend most of my time outside walking dogs or riding my horse however I have never felt more confident and elegant in anything in my life.
My Mum came with me to see the dress and soon as we tried it on she knew it would be perfect for our wedding especially as we got married in a Castle.
Styling
I wore Lily and Roo pearl drop earrings and Gucci sandles. I loved the classic Gucci detailing with the bit on the front as a nod to my horse.
Our amazing hairdresser from London came up to do our hair and make up she did the most incredible job for all my bridesmaids, mum and myself. I have never felt more beautiful.
An elegant wedding day at Cluny Castle
We got married in Cluny Castle where we had the whole Castle for the weekend. We were married in the Castle Chapel, we had a tradition hand fasting and drinking from the quaich as apart of our ceremony. We also had our working cocker Flossie bring the ring down the aisle which was so special to have her apart of our day.
Our amazing florist Jill made my vision come to life with the most beautiful colourful flowers we could have ever wished for.
We had all four dogs at our wedding my dad’s two Labrador’s Luna and Fern, my mums working cocker Alba and of course our dog Flossie, this was very special as they such a huge part of our life.
The best bits
Getting ready with my mum and bridesmaids,
having my Dad walk me down the aisle.
Seeing all our favourite people in one room.
Having a quiet moment before the evening dinner where Sam and I could just sit in the sunshine and take the day in.
Of course having the dogs!
