We are delighted to share Medeah and Sulaiman's stunning November wedding with you today, which took place at Moor Park Mansion/ and Golf Club in Hertfordshire. The day was beautifully styled, with opulent floral displays and chic styling. Personal touches including handmade stationery and favours celebrating the groom's Afghan and bride's Pakistani heritage added a memorable and special feel to the day.

Medeah wore Suzanne Neville's Darya wedding dress, which she made her own with the addition of a set of custom puff sleeves, made in-house by Nortier at Miss Bush. To complete her look, Medeah added classic pearl drop earrings and a simple diamond necklace, finished with a romantic full length veil.

Suzanne Neville Darya wedding dress with custom sleeves

I chose a Suzanne Neville scoop neck A line dress and asked Nortier to add organza puff sleeves. The silhouette felt just like me as I wanted something understated but with impeccable tailoring and a soft flattering shape. This ticked all the boxes and the little sleeves not only added an element of modesty but elevated the dress giving a princess feel. I felt amazing in it!

I brought my Mum with me when I found the dress, she also loved the flowing fabric and the fit. We were both giddy with excitement!

Dress Shopping at Miss Bush

My favourite part of the dress shopping experience was trying on all bunch of different styles initially, and talking about my requirements with Ben. He was so informative and receptive to my criteria and went above and beyond to find the perfect dress.

When I changed my mind about my sleeves design the team were very open and helpful.

Styling

I completed my look with pearl drop earrings from Mejuri, a diamond necklace, my engagement ring, veil from Etsy and shoes from Next. I did my own makeup too!

A fun, memorable wedding at Moor Park in Hertfordshire

We had our ceremony at Moor Park Golf Club’s Mansion, under a floral arch by Augusta Florals decorated with tonal flowers matching the bouquets lining the aisle and my own bridal bouquet. My bridesmaids and I walked down the aisle to Lana Del Rey’s Young and Beautiful. I did all my stationery myself and chose Himalayan salt as favours as a nod to my husband’s Afghan and my own Pakistani heritage. After photos and drinks, we changed into our traditional attire for a second, louder entrance to Dhol drum players and a saxophonist, and danced to both Afghan traditional music and classic Punjabi Bhangra before a sparkler exit to finish the night.

The best bits

Shooting in my dress in such a beautiful venue despite minus figures, and the second entrance with our cousins and siblings.
