It is wonderful to share Kirsty and Jack's relaxed, personal Scottish marquee wedding with you today. The day took place in the stunning Stirlingshire countryside, starting with a traditional church ceremony at the beautiful Fintry Kirk in Fintry. This was followed by a marquee reception surrounded by picturesque views in the field at the bride's family home, filled with personal handmade touches and beautiful Spring wildflowers in fresh greens and soft white.
Kirsty wore Suzanne Neville's Lanesborough wedding dress, which she made her own with a dropped waist, and the addition of playful puff sleeves which could be removed later in the day to transform her look from ceremony to reception. To style her look, Kirsty wore her Mum's exquisite antique lace veil, along with classic diamond earrings and a soft up-do.

Suzanne Neville Lanesborough wedding dress with puff sleeves
I chose the Suzanne Neville Lanesborough. We changed it slighty - adding a dropped waist and puff sleeves that could be removed later on in the evening.
I absolutely loved my wedding dress - it felt flattering and it was classic and simple. The puff sleeves added some fun to the dress, and felt very much me as I love wearing anything with a puff sleeve! The corset was really comfortable, and made me feel confident on the day.
My favourite part of the dress shopping experience was the first fitting appointment with Ben - he made me feel so at ease and as though anything was possible!
Styling
I kept it very simple to reflect the dress...I didn't wear a necklace but instead wore beautiful diamond earrings with my hair tied up. I wore my mum's antique lace veil which provided a nice contrast to the dress.
A relaxed marquee wedding at home
We got married in Fintry Kirk, which is a small country church in the village of Fintry. We then had the reception and evening in a marquee in a field behind my parent's house. We did a lot of the decorations ourselves - my mum made the most beautiful shell name places, and we did the marquee flowers ourselves...it was a all hands on deck wedding! My sister in law made our wedding cake and it was the most beautiful (and of course delicious!) cake ever! My mother in law is an artist and did lots of our decorations which was so special, and made it feel very personal to us. My dad built us a bar in the shape of a boat which was amazing...we did our speeches standing on top of the boat and it was christened Fletcher's Bounty.
We lucked out with the weather so it was gloriously hot and meant that people could enjoy their drinks and nibbles outside. We ended the evening partying with a live band and lots of spicy margaritas!
The best bits
The church service has to be my favourite moment, as well as our entrance into the marquee...it was just so fun!
