Naomi in Suzanne Neville Savannah for a cosy English Countryside wedding
With stunning Autumn styling, a brilliant team of Miss Bush recommended suppliers, a delightful Surrey venue and an incredible Suzanne Neville dress, we're delighted to share Naomi and Munraj's wedding with you today. With the ceremony taking place at St Mary's Church, Cobham, our couple then went onto celebrate their marriage with a reception at Loseley Park, Guildford.
Naomi wore Suzanne Neville's Savannah wedding dress, fitted impeccably by our brilliant Production Manager Jo, who was also on hand to dress Naomi on her wedding morning. With its elegant off-the-shoulder neckline, exquisite lace sleeves and romantic full skirt, Savannah was the perfect choice for Naomi's autumnal country house wedding. The bride styled her dress with a chic up-do styled with a classic veil and minimal jewellery. To finish the look, Naomi wore the 'Jazzy' glittering pearl encrusted heels from Charlotte Mills.

Suzanne Neville Savannah wedding dress
I chose Suzanne Neville's Savannah dress and I'm so happy I did! I was not going to try it on; I didn't think the dropped waist would suit me but Rosie convinced me to try it and I fell in love with it the moment I put it on! I loved the traditional, classic lace and A-line shape, but with the modern twist of the dropped waist and open neckline. I liked the way it elongated my body, and the contrast of the lace with the beautiful silk skirt. It is so elegant and regal but not like anything I had seen before! It was so comfortable to wear on the day and thanks to Jo, it fitted me like a glove. Despite the many layers in the skirt, the dress felt light and easy to move (and dance!) in. I loved the long sleeves for our autumnal wedding, and I just felt so special in it.
Dress Shopping
I brought my Mum to every dress appointment at Miss Bush - she loved the whole experience as much as I did! I didn't get the greatly-anticipated tears when I put on Savannah but we both just felt the dress was very 'me' and we couldn't stop smiling! My Mum said I looked like myself in it, which is exactly what I wanted from my wedding dress. Our other favourite was Sapphire - we agonised over Christmas trying to decide but I'm very happy with the decision we came to!
Even from the outside, the Chapel looks so magical with its floral arch. Then the welcome we had the first time we arrived was so warm and put me at ease instantly (I was quite nervous!). I had been to two other bridal shops before Miss Bush, and deep down knew I was waiting to get to the chapel to try on some Suzanne Neville dresses! It truly is a beautiful place to try on and hopefully choose your dress, and felt like a private and personal experience. I loved how Rosie, my stylist, had so many ideas of what would suit me and as mentioned above, it is down to her that I tried on Savannah at all! I felt comfortable enough to voice any body hang-ups (which the team always promptly put to rest!) and I looked forward to every appointment. The toile appointment was also a great experience and really fun to see my dress coming to life! Jo did an amazing job right up until the final fitting, and I was also lucky enough to have her dress me on my wedding day!
I had lots of questions about bras (which one to wear, what sort of straps etc) and the team very helpfully recommended lots of different options. In the end Jo sewed loops into the lace so my bra straps stayed put. I also had to change hair and makeup suppliers a little further down the line than I'd have liked, and the Miss Bush team gave some great recommendations (Sharon Roberts & Carolanne Armstrong are a dream team!)
Styling
I decided to wear my hair up (fighting all natural instincts to have it down!) to be able to show the beautiful lace on the back of my dress, and I wore a Suzanne Neville veil with some beautiful glistening stones dotted around it. I wore very minimalistic jewellery and natural makeup. I wore Charlotte Mills 'Jazzy Pearl' shoes which were so comfortable and looked very pretty when poking out from under my dress!
About the Day
We wanted to have a traditionally 'English countryside' autumnal, cosy wedding day. We expected rain and wind in late-October but ended up with a sunny 20 degree day and count ourselves very lucky! I love flowers so we made that a priority; Liz from Blue Sky Flowers did an incredible job both at the church and at our reception. I wanted the marquee to be cosy and warm, so we had plenty of candles on our long tables, plum-coloured water glasses, green linen and a lot of flowers (high and low arrangements). The flowers were a definite highlight of the day and I cannot recommend Liz highly enough! I wanted the colour scheme of the day to be neutral with pops of colour. My bridesmaids' bouquets against their dusty pink dresses were another highlight for me! We were very lucky to have a beautiful sail cloth marquee in the grounds of Loseley Park, with a backdrop of Loseley House lit up whilst we ate and celebrated throughout the evening. The marquee itself was beautiful and I highly recommend Sail Tent company who were so efficient and helpful throughout!
The best bits
There are too many favourite moments to choose from! Apart from the obvious highlight of walking into church with my Dad, seeing Munraj waiting at the front of the church and us exchanging our vows, one of our highlights was our 25 minute car journey from the church to Loseley Park in our vintage wedding car. We loved having the chance to catch up on our wedding mornings (and all the things that almost went wrong at the boys' camp...!) and to digest together the fact we'd just got married. Walking into the marquee as Mr & Mrs Gill was a huge highlight; seeing all our favourite people's faces whilst The Function Band sang one of our favourite Elvis songs was an unforgettable moment! We also had an amazing bunch of suppliers, who were a pleasure to spend our day with. In particular, Susie Evans (our amazing wedding planner) and Lewis Membery (our photographer) were two very special people on our wedding day, keeping us calm and most importantly on track!
Naomi's Advice
I would advise not having too many expectations about the style of dress you will choose. Go with an open mind and try on anything your stylist suggests! Miss Bush really is a special place and I would be surprised if anyone did not find their dream dress there. Do not wish away the time when you are engaged - enjoy the planning as much as possible as (if you're like me!) you will really miss it when it is all over.
