A glorious, colourful wedding to share with you today, with beautiful Miss Bush bride Mair wearing the Divine Atelier Leya wedding dress. Taking place at the stylish 100 Barrington in Brixton, Mair and Ally's day was filled with vibrant flowers, special personal touches and so much love.

We're also very excited to share this wedding as Mair is our first ever real bride wearing the Divine Atelier Leya wedding dress on our blog. Since introducing the brand in 2024, Leya has been one of our most loved wedding dresses, and Mair is the perfect poster girl to showcase this stunning gown. Made from the most exquisite premium silk, the dress features a creative fitted bodice with cross over straps above a fitted corset and sleek draped skirt.

To style her look, Mair added the gorgeous hand carved Mother of Pearl fan earrings from Freya Rose London, with a single tier veil, Antonia beaded bag from Shrimps and chic slingback heels from Charlotte Mills. Along with her adorable high ponytail, the finished look was fun, modern and beautiful.

Divine Atelier Leya wedding dress

After struggling to find anything that really felt right I saw the Leya dress on Miss Bush's website and was instantly intrigued. It wasn't like anything I had seen or tried on before and I knew I had wanted to see how it looked on me.

As soon as I tried it on I fell in love. The shape and structure of the top half, with the flow-y draping of the bottom half made me feel instantly comfortable and confident.

I loved wearing it so much I kept it on for most of the night, despite having bought a 2nd dress to change into!

I brought my mum and my MOH Katie to the appointment with me. As soon as I came out of the changing room all I could see was their smiles. I think Katie even said "that's the one". I was nervous as the dress was unique/less traditional, and I was unsure whether it would suit me but seeing their & Emma's reactions I knew I loved it.

Dress Shopping at Miss Bush

Entering the Chapel is such a magical and amazing experience. The beauty of the shop and the atmosphere is incredible. Emma made me feel instantly at ease, and I was excited to have her expertise and opinions on all things wedding dresses.

Having chosen a couple of dresses online and loving the Divine Atelier ones I was able to try on many of their styles, and could tell the quality and care that went into making them all.

At every visit to Miss Bush the staff made me feel so comfortable, and were so knowledgeable on every stage of the process.

During my 2nd fitting we noticed a slight pull on the fabric of the dress. Miss Bush offered to order a new skirt or reduce the alterations fee and offer a complimentary dry cleaning.

Styling

It all looked amazing, I was so happy and had so many compliments.

I wore the Leya with my hair up in a ponytail and with Freya Rose earrings - I kept all other jewellery to a minimum.

I had a plain Nortier veil and wore Charlotte Mills block heels.

A relaxed, colourful London wedding at 100 Barrington

We got married at 100 Barrington in Brixton on Bank Holiday Sunday. We were lucky enough to have a gorgeous sunny day - which was perfect for the outdoor courtyard.

Poppy Wild Floral did our flowers, and I want to use the existing plants at 100B and keep the greenery flowing from outside inside. Poppy did soft pastels within the flowers and wrapped the pillars in greenery to draw the eye upwards.

We had lots of little touches, including special made block print napkins that my brother and his girlfriend had brought back from India.

The best bits

I loved entering into the champagne reception and being able to finally speak to and hug all my family and friends. The sun was shining, confetti was all over the floor, the room was filled with everyone we love - and all with with a glass of Ridgeview English Sparkling in hand!

Mair's Advice

Try doing research before you go to wedding dress shops, as I went in quite blind.

I was made to feel under pressure by other wedding dress shops as I was dress shopping around 10 months before the wedding, but Miss Bush were fully transparent about the process and the time-frames.

My dress had arrived in the UK 3 months after ordering!
