We're delighted to share Olivia and Joe's romantic, joyful Country House wedding with you today, which took place at the beautiful Minterne House in Dorset. The day was a beautiful celebration of their marriage, with thoughtful touches representing the couple and their relationship, including nods to Japan where the bride used to live, their former home on a canal boat, a custom wedding logo and their love for the work of artist Mark Chagall.

Olivia wore our Miss Bush special version of 2214, featuring a square neckline and bold puff sleeves. This version of the 2214 dress was made from crisp satin, with the addition of a full skirt with box pleats. Olivia styled her dress with a bold red lip, along with a Nortier veil adorned with orchids in the traditional Japanese style.

Jesus Peiro 2214 Miss Bush Special wedding dress

It fitted me perfectly, the moment I tried it on it felt like a lightbulb, like it was my destiny to find it and wear it.

The friends I showed it to (after a few glasses of prosecco, even though I promised myself I would keep it a surprise!!) said the same thing... 'Oh that is just so You!'

My Mum and Aunt came dress shopping with me - plus a long distance FaceTime call to my family in America.

There were many tears, my Mum knows me well enough to know as soon as I stepped out that I loved it and nothing else would do.

Dress Shopping at Miss Bush

Everything was amazing from start to finish, the tranquillity of the chapel as I entered and how special and personalised the appointment felt! I felt immediately at ease, it was lovely to be able to take my time, have a glass of fizz and feel like there was all the time in the world.

Corinne and Leah were so wonderful during, giving me honest opinions, it felt like they truly had my best interests at heart and that they wanted me to find that perfect dress.

Styling

I ended up getting a Nortier Veil from Miss. Bush. It was simple and looked perfect paired with 2214 Special.

I wore white orchids in my hair (this is traditional in Japan - I lived in Tokyo so it felt important and special to bring that personalised element into my otherwise quite traditional English Countryside wedding)

My shoes were £9 from a charity shop (which is very on brand as I am known to be an avid bargain hunter/ thrifter)

A romantic, joyful wedding at Minterne House, Dorset

We got married in a traditional Country Estate in Dorset. I am from Dorset but live in London so for me, it was very important that the wedding was to be in Dorset.

All our flowers were white, which looked stunning. We created a logo and used it throughout the wedding and it all came together to look so cohesive and beautiful (just like my Pinterest Board haha!)

I lived in Japan and my partner and I love cute things, so my friend bought two Sylvanian Families all the way from Japan to go on top of our cake - it was so cute, everyone loved it! We even had our tables named after places we had visited together in Japan (such a special place for us and where we got engaged)

My partner and I love the painter Chagall, we managed to sprinkle little elements through his paintings throughout the day, on invites/ favours.

My partner and I lived on a canal boat, so we even managed to sneak in a little one next to where people signed the guestbook!

The best bits

Coming down the aisle to a song from Spirited Away (my favourite film) and being greeted by everyone's smiling faces.

Seeing people from all different parts of my life coming together, chatting, making friends. I would look up and two people from different worlds deep in conversation and enjoying the day.

My Dad's Father of the Bride speech, it was a great balance of touching and funny!

Olivia's Advice

Bring someone who knows you and your style and what makes your comfortable. My Mum and I have similar tastes and she knows what I like and what looks good on me, we both fell in love with the 2214 special as soon as I walked out in it! Also having someone who is not afraid to be honest is so important when making such a monumental decision.

Expect the unexpected and be open to trying things, the dress I ended up with was not even on my original try on list, it was a suggestion towards the end of the appointment and it turned out to be the most beautiful one for me!
