We have the most breathtaking wedding to share with you today! Tarryn and Luke were married in South Africa at the stunning Boschendal wine estate in Franschhoek, with a backdrop of the most magnificent scenery,  a vibrant orange colour palette, beautiful styling and incredible creative floral displays.

Tarryn wore a custom version of Jesus Peiro's 2647 wedding dress; featuring a classic Jesus Peiro silhouette with a high collar and deep v-neckline, full skirt with wide cummerbund waist. Tarryn made the dress her own, switching the crossed straps for a full open back, making it perfect for the South African climate and adding even more drama to the bold silhouette. To style her dress, Tarryn added a romantic full length veil with pearl embellishments and matching pearl jewellery. Tarryn completed her look with a pair of pearl studded sandals from Charlotte Mills - snapped up from the Miss Bush Vinted!

Read on for more details about the day and Tarryn's dress, with beautiful images by Kristi Agier.

Jesus Peiro 2647 wedding dress

I loved that it was so different and like nothing I had seen before. I decided to remove the back of the dress so I could have an open back. The dress was beautifully structured and the neckline was just perfect. I also loved that it had a slit up the front of the dress so that when you walked you could see your shoes. Another favourite feature were the pockets!

My mother in law, Jill, came dress shopping with me as my Mum lives in Cape Town, however my mum was on Face Time. I knew it was the one straight away as my Mum started crying on Facetime (this was the second time I had come back to Miss Bush, however the first time trying on this dress) and my mother in law was speechless. I hadn't tried on this dress in my first visit and in fact was coming back to order a completely different dress but the 2026 collection had just arrived so I had to try on a few (sticking with Jesus Peiro as they always fitted the best,) and once I had tried it on, I knew it was the one and ordered it that day!

Dress Shopping at Miss Bush

My favourite part of the dress shopping experience was the fact that Emma made me feel so comfortable throughout. You knew she was experienced and wouldn't tell you something just because that's what you wanted to hear, but she gave you amazing advice throughout and let you try on the dress as many times as you needed. I also LOVED that it was in a Chapel - made it feel really special. Another amazing part was that you could be flexible with your dress and make changes to make it personable for you, that is something that I really valued.

Styling

My shoes I actually got from Mrs Bush. You were selling them on vinted as they had been used in your show room and I had been trying on those exact shoes with the dress but at the time didn't know they were on sale. I spent hours trying to find shoes that were similar and couldn't quite find ones that I loved- then Miss Bush uploaded my exact shoes to vinted so it was an ideal situation. My shoes were Charlotte Mills- I loved the detail of the Penny and the saying underneath the shoe. They also had pearls all over them and my dress was from the JP Pearl collection so worked perfectly!!

A breath-taking wedding in South Africa

We got married on a wine farm in Franschhoek in the Western Cape. I am from Cape Town and therefore it holds a very special place in my heart and Luke has fallen inlove with the Cape too so it was not even a discussion about where we would get married- we always knew it would be in the Cape! My favourite flowers are dahlias, especially the bright pink and orange ones, and my favourite drink is an Aperol Spritz and since we were getting married in peak summer in the Cape I loved the idea of bright, bold colours and therefore the starting point of the theme was orange. I always knew I wanted to get married outside and ideally have a candle lit supper under the stars, so luckily with the weather that's exactly what we did. My mum sourced the fabric for the main table cloth and then used the same fabric for napkins on all the other tables which was a very special touch. I found a design of a bridesmaid dress I liked (being considerate to my maid of honour, my sister, who was pregnant and 2 bridesmaids having just had babies), my mum found the gorgeous vibrant fabric and we got them all made. A lot of the décor used was from my parents home which also added a very special personal touch. The mountains behind us spoke for themselves throughout the day and the ceremony!

The best bits

There are so many- it was honestly the best day of our lives. One of them is that we had a choir singing, and half way through the ceremony we all stopped and listened to them sing 'Can you feel the love tonight' from the Lion King. It was truly magical and a moment I will remember forever. Another is walking down the isle with my Dad and seeing Luke's reaction.

Tarryn's Advice

Don't stress about the small details. When you're in it, its hard to be told that, however on the day everything falls together perfectly and you don't even notice that you chose a plain white plate instead of something else!! Enjoy every second, the day goes by in a flash so really take time to take it in. Make sure to step away with your husband- have a glass of bubbles just the two of you and watch the wedding from the outside... Luke and I took 20 minutes to just have a breather, watch all our guests have the best time and catch up on how we doing- we laughed so much and it was so special seeing everyone have the best time!
