We have an absolutely wonderful Nortier bride to share with you today, featuring the Schiffer wedding dress looking perfectly at home at a gorgeous French château!

Alice and Henry were married at the stunning No.3 The Château, an exclusive use venue surrounded by vineyards in the Grande Champagne region of Cognac, South West France. The day was relaxed, chic and beautifully styled, with beautiful florals and a romantic pale pink colour palette. A wedding in the Champagne region wouldn't be complete without a fabulous champagne tower, making for some brilliant images of the newlyweds.

Alice wore the Schiffer dress by Nortier, which was just perfect for the French château setting. With an elegant straight neckline and fitted corset bodice, Schiffer features a full ballgown style skirt with added pleats for exaggerated volume and drama. The skirt is finished with a front split; perfect for showing off Alice's stylish pearl embellished Jimmy Choo heels.

Nortier Schiffer wedding dress

I wore the Schiffer dress by Nortier - an absolute dream dress! This was the second dress I tried on at Miss Bush, and I immediately fell in love with it. It was so different from any other dresses I had tried on or saw, and I immediately thought it was so cool yet timeless. I felt amazing in it, and it had all the features I dreamt for in a dress - classic yet chic, a slit, strapless and not tight on my hips. It also really suited the vibe of the French Chateau and a black tie wedding.

When I first tried it on I was with my Mum and Godmother, who both loved it and could tell I felt really good in it. When I bought it I brought my Mum back and my sister-in-law, who said it was the best dress she'd ever seen - which was a great reaction!

Dress Shopping at Miss Bush

I loved it all - from start to finish. The whole trying on dresses and buying process was so fun with Ben and Emma and I learned so much about fashion, and Adrien was amazing at my fitting appointments.

Styling

I wore a veil during the Church ceremony, which was my husbands' late mothers, and then during dinner I put on a neck scarf from Miss Bush, which I really felt elevated the look!

A magical French chateau wedding

We got married in a Chateau in Cognac, France, which overlooked the vines. The ceremony was in the local french church in Salles D'Angles, and then the reception was held at No. 3 The Chateau. We commenced the reception with a champagne and oyster hour at the front of the Chateau, whilst Henry and I went off and had pictures in the vines. Following this guests made their way through a tunnel underneath the Chateau to the back where a second cocktail hour took place around the pool. The wedding breakfast was served underneath an estrade overlooking the vineyards and the dancing then followed inside the Chais Barn. The next day guests were invited back to the Chateau for a pool party.

I made all the stationary myself and we hand wrote all guests a letter which sat on their place setting at dinner. I wore Henry's late Mums veil during the ceremony which was incredibly special.

Styling wise we went for a blush pink theme, with all the bridesmaids in mix-match pink dresses. We fell in love with the venue without loads of decor so we went for a 'less is more' approach as the venue and surroundings were just so beautiful on their own.

For music, we flew over a guy called Marky Dawson who is incredible on the piano and vocals. We've seen him play multiple times in Twickenham after rugby matches and asked whether he would come to France to play for our wedding. He really made the day and we had so many people compliment him as he was truly incredible on the piano.

The best bits

We loved the church ceremony as the Vicar was amazing and we threw in some primary school songs.

The dinner was beautiful as we felt the day slowed down slightly here and we could enjoy being really present in the moment.

Dancing at the end of the night was also so much fun.

Alice's Advice

Don't overthink it, and don't go to too many dress shops. If you find a dress you love and feel amazing in, then go for it!

Try not to stress and just remember at the end of it you get to marry the love of your life.
