We're so pleased to share Harriet and Jamie's relaxed, joyful Summer wedding with you today, which took place in Essex with a traditional ceremony at St Michaels and All Angels Church in Roxwell, followed by a beautiful marquee reception at Newney Hall. The day was the perfect Summer wedding, with bridesmaids in pastel blue, stunning flowers featuring cornflowers, fresh greenery and soft whites, and lots of time spent outdoors to enjoy the idyllic English countryside.

Harriet is our first real bride to be featured in the Viola dress from Divine Atelier, which was the perfect choice for her relaxed Summer wedding. The Viola dress is made from a light textured silk blend, making it ideal for the hot June weather, whilst the simple scooped neckline and cut out detail made it comfortable to wear throughout the day. Harriet styled her dress with classic vintage jewellery and a pair of chic gold sandals from Loeffler Randall, along with a chic up-do and romantic single tier veil.

Divine Atelier Viola wedding dress

I chose Viola by Divine Atelier.

I just felt really comfortable and myself. Very good for a hot June wedding and a bit different with the drop waist.

Dress Shopping at Miss Bush

I took my Mum dress shopping with me - her expression on her face when I put it on showed she loved it

My favourite part of the dress shopping experience was being able to try as many dresses on and adding different components like sleeves etc to check the look you liked.

Styling

I styled my dress with gold shoes from Loeffler Randall, and my Grannie's vintage blue earrings.

About the Day

We had a classic summer wedding, with blue and ivory flowers.

Harriet's Advice

Start early and try on dresses you don't think you will like as they look and feel very different on.
