A cheerful injection of colour to brighten a dreary February afternoon! We're so pleased to share Alicia and Anthony joyful wedding with you today, which took place on a delightful Summer's day at Halton Grove, Northumberland. The day was styled with tons of stunning Summer floral arrangements, vibrant bouquets filled with roses and poppies and bridesmaids in mis-matched pastel dresses. Personal touches throughout the day made the day extra special for Alicia and Anthony, whilst the idyllic English countryside setting made for some beautiful portraits of the newlyweds.

Alicia wore Style 2406, a two-piece bridal outfit from Jesus Peiro made from luxurious floral silk brocade. The cropped top with straight neckline is offset by oversized puff sleeves, which sit above a full a-line skirt with a wide waistband and pockets. The perfect dress for a Summer wedding, and just stunning on Alicia! To style her dress, Alicia wore her hair in a simple, elegant up-do and a single tier veil that sat perfectly between the bold puff sleeves. To finish her look, Alicia added gold platform heels and classic gold jewellery.

Jesus Peiro 2406 wedding dress

I chose the Jesus Peiro 2406. I absolutely loved that it was a top and skirt! I just loved everything about it... especially the puff sleeves! This was the first dress I tried on at Miss Bush and although I tried on some other beautiful dresses which I definitely would have loved wearing, this was the perfect dress for me.

I came to Miss Bush with my mum and my sister and they loved so many of the dresses, which made it even more difficult to choose. They loved the different styles I tried on but I trusted their opinions and knew they would fully support my choice!

Dress Shopping at Miss Bush

The dress shopping experience at Miss Bush was so enjoyable. We just had so much fun with Emma when finding the right dress! Wedding dress shopping can feel extremely daunting, but I never once felt intimidated at Miss Bush. I felt a bit sad on my last fitting, knowing I wouldn't be going back to the Chapel again.

Styling

The dress was amazing so it didn't need much styling! I wore my sister's veil from her wedding, which was so special. It was so beautiful and was perfect with my dress.

I wore jewellery that my mum, bridesmaids and Anthony had given me for our wedding and I also wore gold shoes which added some fun to my outfit!

A fun, colourful wedding at Halton Grove

We got married at Halton Grove in Northumberland. We both grew up in the North East of England and when we visited the venue we knew straight away it was the right choice for us. We were so lucky with the weather that we were able to get married outside with an amazing view of the countryside. My beautiful bridesmaids all wore different dresses in pastel colours and our colourful flowers were better than we could have ever imagined. We had readings, our own vows, amazing sharing platters for food, live music by a fantastic band and the dance floor was never empty. It was a perfect, magical day.

The best bits

My favourite moments would have to be: seeing Anthony at the end of the aisle and saying our vows to each other; getting ready with my bridesmaids, mum and mother-in-law and having the best morning with our hair and make-up artists; my sister's amazing poem she did for her speech, and dancing all night with our family and friends.

Alicia's Advice

The best bit about your day is that you are there celebrating together with all the people you love - enjoy every second as it flies!

Also, find suppliers that are right for you and how you want your day to be. We truly had the best day that was helped so much by our amazing suppliers. It felt like we were getting ready with friends - because of our unreal make-up and hair artists and our photographer is also now absolutely a friend of ours forever. Everyone went above and beyond and helped to make our day so special.

On dresses, do some research on types of dresses you might like, but trust the stylists too! I was so happy to be led by Emma, who provided me with so much helpful advice and really put me at ease.
