We're so excited to share Kat and Oli's stunning destination wedding with you today! Set in Croatia, the backdrop for Kat and Oli's wedding was the Brown Beach House on the coast in Trogir, surrounded by incredible scenery, romantic architecture and breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea, resulting in some incredible portraits of the newlyweds. The day was filled with special moments and surprises for the couple and their guests including a speedboat ride, Aperol Spritz tower (the bride's favourite!) an incredible first dance, and a song performance from Kat.

Kat wore Nortier's show-stopping Schiffer wedding dress, which was the perfect choice for the relaxed but elegant vibe of the day. Along with a straight strapless neckline above a dropped waist, Schiffer features a full voluminous skirt with a front split made for showing off a pair of striking statement shoes - which Kat took full advantage of with her iconic crystal embellished Manolo slingbacks! Kat finished her look with chic silk neckscarf in place of a veil with sweeping drapes, adding a floaty, romantic element to the dress.

Nortier Schiffer wedding dress

After visiting several boutiques in London without any joy, I'd honestly given up on finding the right dress. My sister-in-law insisted that Miss Bush would have something I'd love, and she was absolutely right. I'm not a girly girl and wouldn't usually wear a dress unless it's for a formal event, so finding something that felt like "me" was incredibly difficult. I loved so many dresses at other boutiques but never felt that connection. The elegant simplicity of the Schiffer really resonated with me. It was refined, effortless, and felt authentically mine. I felt absolutely beautiful and, most importantly, like myself.

Dress Shopping at Miss Bush

My now sister-in-law came dress shopping with me. She has this wonderful knack for romanticising life, and she made the whole experience feel truly magical - I am not a crier but shed a few tears when we found THE dress!

My favourite part of the dress shopping experience was dealing with Ben! He was so lovely and made the entire process such a pleasure. The experience was seamless from start to finish.

Styling

I wore Manolo Blahnik slingbacks. They didn't quite make it through to the next day – all the dancing resulted in the buckle falling off and the satin turning black – but they're a cherished memento of how much fun we had, and one day I'll install them in a shadow box in my wardrobe.

Miss Bush created a gorgeous silk scarf for me that trailed behind as I walked, adding the most romantic, ethereal vibe to the whole look.

A romantic destination wedding in Croatia

We got married in Trogir, Croatia, and the entire day was filled with surprises.

My husband surprised our guests by arriving on a speedboat to the James Bond theme played on violin. After the ceremony, we left on the same boat and headed into the old town to take our wedding portraits. Our arrival back at the reception was kicked off by an Aperol tower – my friends call me "Aperol Skitch" because I love them so much, so a champagne tower just didn't feel on brand!

After dinner, we performed a surprise dance with sparklers going off behind us during the big lifts. We hadn't originally planned to do a first dance, but my husband won a dance lesson with Iain Waite from Strictly Come Dancing at a rugby charity event. We spent two hours with him at a dance studio in Fulham choreographing the routine, and it was such a special moment.

The final surprise of the evening was a performance from me. I grew up in the theatre but haven't sung in years, especially not publicly. I surprised my husband with a rendition of Etta James' "At Last" with the band and saxophone behind me – it was absolutely magic.

To finish the night off, we had a close friend and Ibiza DJ, Melonbomb, do a DJ set that kept everyone dancing until the early hours. The police had to shut us down!

The best bits

The speedboat departure to Fleetwood Mac's Everywhere, seeing my husband's face when I sang the first words "At Last", the energy during our surprise dance, and honestly, just feeling so comfortable and beautiful in my dress all day long!

Kat's Advice

Don't overthink it, and do what feels right for you. Most importantly, don't try to please anyone else. This day is about you and your partner, and the best moments come from staying true to yourself.
