Lauren in Jesus Peiro 2203 for a romantic, joyful wedding at Millbridge Court in Surrey
We absolutely love Millbridge Court, and it looked particularly stunning for Lauren & Alfie's Summer wedding! With a pale blue and pink colour palette and tons of beautiful flowers, the feel of the day was romantic and joyful, with the venue offering the perfect blank canvas for our couple to really make the space their own. Bold contemporary stationery and simple table dressing added a contemporary, elegant finish to the event styling.
The clean, modern feel continued with Lauren's dress choice; the gorgeous Style 2203 by Jesus Peiro. 2203 was one of our first wrap dresses to spark the current trend, and we absolutely love it for its simple v neckline and elegant wrapped waist detail. Lauren styled the dress with statement earrings, a classic single tier veil and chic polka dot kitten heels. Loose, tumbling waves added a touch of glamour to her look.

Jesus Peiro 2203 wedding dress
I chose 2203 by Jesus Peiro. I loved this dress as soon as I saw it. The cut of the bodice and soft fabric was so beautiful that I pretty much knew straight away it was a contender! I felt really comfortable in it – it was so light and easy to walk around in which was important to me. It gives a full skirt look without actually weighing you down and getting in the way!
Dress Shopping
The first appointment was brilliant – it can be quite daunting and stressful but Corinne and the whole team made it a really enjoyable experience. I came to Miss Bush with a pretty open mind – I had done some research on their collection and just loved so many of the dresses! It was overwhelming but Corinne helped guide me and gave me steer on what I might want, even with the accessories.
I brought my mum and two sisters (one on zoom). I had tried on so many dresses and I think at the time I was in love with another dress which had more detail and 'glitz and glamour'. But as soon as I tried on 2203 it felt more like me, it fitted my shape perfectly and was beautifully understated. My mum and sisters loved it (especially the pockets) – I tried on a veil and they were sold!
Styling
I wanted to keep my look quite simple, to not change the understated look of the dress. So I went with a classic single tier, waist length veil. However I knew I wanted some big sparkly earrings! Being over 6ft – I was a little limited on shoe choice. I love a heel but – being the same height as my husband – I didn't want to tower over him in photos. So I went with the cutest pair of polka dot mesh kitten heels from The Perfect Bridal Company.
About the Day
We just wanted the day to feel joyful, light and romantic. So we styled our day to compliment the venue which has tall ceilings, big windows with lots of natural light. Our florist was amazing (Camilla's Creations). She knew exactly the vibe we wanted. Everything else just fell into place from there.
The best bits
Its hard to choose – I think my favourite part was the ceremony as it felt like everything had come to a point and all the emotions were overwhelming! Pure happiness and love – lots of tears – but it was wonderful.
Lauren's Advice
I think it's always best to keep an open mind when going to your first dress appointment. It's so easy to get sucked into Pinterest and Instagram and run away with the idea of a certain dress. Try on ones you might not necessarily choose on the rack. Also don't discount a dress if you don't immediately get the 'this is the one' feeling – sometimes you need a little more time and thought!
