Jessica in custom Jesus Peiro for a natural, botanical Eyam Hall wedding in the Peak District

After 2 years worth of postponing, we were so delighted to see Jess & Tim finally marry in June this year! The wedding took place at the beautiful Eyam Hall in the Peak District, at a naturally styled, botanical inspired wedding.

Jess wore a custom combination of her two favourite Jesus Peiro wedding dresses; Style 121 for its chic, stylist split skirt, and the exquisite embroidered bodice and waistband from 128. This skirt was MADE for a pair of statement shoes, and Jess took full advantage of this, opting for a pair of bright blue heels from Michael Kors. Jess styled the rest of her look with simple, elegant accessories, allowing the detailed top half of the dress to shine.

Read on to find out more about Jess and Tim's special day, as told by our bride, Jess.

A custom Jesus Peiro wedding dress

The dress/dresses I ended up choosing were a mixture of 121 and 128 as I loved the detail of the top part of the 128 and absolutely fell in love with the bottom of 121! The fact that it had pockets was a dream and that it had a slight slit in the front so I could wear some colourful shoes was perfect.
I was very nervous picking 2 different designs as I couldn't picture it very well - but the very talented Emma put me at ease and knew it would work straight away, Emma did a brilliant drawing of what it would look like and I knew it was the one. We added 1 more detail personal to me and there we were - my dress chosen.
Wearing the dress on the was almost a relief - I had waited 2 years to wear it (COVID) and was so worried I wouldn't love it anymore. Thankfully I did still love it! How could I not Jesus Peiro make timeless dresses and I'm already trying to set a date to renew our vows just so I can buy another one.I brought only my mum to the appointment as we could only bring 1 person due to covid - however this would still of been the case without covid. My mum knows me and what suits me more than anyone else and I completely trust her judgement on what looks good on me. Emma was a genius and put both dress on me to help us see what the dress could look like and mum said "that's it!". I travelled 3 hours to get to Miss Bush and I would of travelled further if I had to - I will be sending all future brides their way. It was the best wedding dress shopping experience ever.

Dress Shopping

My favourite part was obviously trying on all of the beautiful dresses, but coming a close second was the team at Miss Bush, especially Emma. I trusted her straight away and she just knew what suited me, colour, shape, neck line etc. Having someone that has so much knowledge and talent really puts you at ease and you just know you are finding you dress while you are there.Miss Bush had a lot to deal with through Covid, and they coped with it all so professionally. Always keeping in contact, setting dates for fitting and collecting. We had to delay our wedding a year and they were able to keep my dress in storage which helped me so much. Everything was stress free - which is what you want when you are spending that much on a dress.

Styling

Oh the shoes! They were the first purchase of colour for wedding and the rest of the colour scheme started with the shoes (Michael Kors)! They were a gorgeous blue and complemented the dress very well and I loved that you could see them through the gap/slit in my dress.
As the top half the dress had quite a lot going on I didn't feel like I needed to many accessorises to complete the look, I went with a full length plain veil and small gold plated diamond earrings. My gorgeous wedding rings and engagement ring then finished the look off beautifully.

I love plants and herbs and I wanted to make the day revolve around them. We bought so many plants and pots. Olive trees, eucalyptus, lavender, geraniums, rosemary's, thyme, oregano and many more. I wanted a natural look and wanted to be able to use anything bought for the wedding at home and in the garden. As my earrings, wedding ring and some of my shoes were gold I also wanted to mix this in, from photo frames in the marquee, to the table place settings. We managed to only fill half a bag of rubbish from the wedding and this made me extremely happy.

The Best Bits

The Ceremony - outside surrounded by our friends and family, everyone smiling and Tim nearly actually crying!! (He can't remember the last time he cried so this was BIG!). We were also so very lucky with the weather and the sun shined on us throughout. We also chose a string quartet to play modern pop tunes and they were amazing and set the atmosphere so well.

Jessica's Advice

Word of wisdom.... go to Miss Bush and you can't go far wrong. Trust the team and know they are with you every step of the way. If you can afford a wedding planner then great do it - if you can't (like me) be prepared for sleepless nights. However it will all be worth it in the end as it really is the best day ever.
