We're delighted to share Jasmin & Jamie's romantic and intimate micro wedding with you today, as they celebrate their one year wedding anniversary. Taking place in December 2020 at the iconic Old Marylebone Town Hall, the wedding may have been smaller than they originally planned, but with a luxurious, romantic and special feel.

Jasmin was one of our first ever brides to opt for Jesus Peiro's innovative Eco Taffeta fabric, which is made from plastic bottles recovered from the ocean. She looked incredible in the 166 crossed back wedding dress, which was originally spotted by groom Jamie!

After the ceremony our couple went on to Fortum and Mason for a special Afternoon Tea. Read on to find out all about their day in Jasmin's own words...

Jesus Peiro 166 wedding dress in eco taffeta

My husband actually spotted this dress online and secretly I knew that it would be the one - of course, I didn't tell him that I would be wearing the dress he picked out! I love the 166 Eco Taffeta Jesus Peiro dress for its elegant simplicity. It flares out from the waist in a really flattering way and the whole day I felt beautiful and sophisticated. It was really important for my wedding to have a sustainable angle to it. I consider myself to be someone that's very eco-conscious and I wanted my dress to reflect that. I was thrilled that it could be produced in a way that reduces waste, minimising its impact to the environment. No one could even tell on the day that it was made from eco-friendly materials - so it just goes to show that dressing consciously doesn't have to impact your style.

I initially just brought my mum when I was choosing the dress. I tried on a few different designs for the fun of it and Emma was kind enough to indulge us, but I think we all knew deep down that the 166 was the one for me. My mum looked like she could explode with happiness when she saw me in it.

Dress Shopping

My favourite part of the dress shopping experience was being able to try on lots of different styles, it really helped reaffirm my decision and made me more certain about the dress I wanted. Even though I walked into Miss Bush 100% sure about my decision, Emma made sure that I explored other options - which I really appreciated! She could tell immediately what needed to be done to make each design complement my body and was open to any suggestions I made.

Because of all the uncertainty created by Covid, we actually decided to bring our June 2021 wedding forward to December 2020. It was all quite last minute and I only gave the team 2 months notice to have the dress made earlier than planned - which they were super accommodating about. I can't thank them enough for working with my tight schedule!

Styling

I finished off the look with a pearl veil and had extra pearls added towards the hem. I also wore Swarovski earrings and a bracelet - both had a pave style that complimented my wedding and engagement rings. I knew the shoes would be covered by my floor-length dress so I wasn't too fussed about footwear - I could have worn trainers and no one would have known! But for the fun of it, I opted for a sparkly silver pair of sandals with a wide fit and chunky block heel and I was comfortable all day long.

We had to change our entire day - we'd initially planned for a 120 person wedding and had to scale back the guest list to 15 people, so it seemed strange to still go ahead with our huge venue. With the guidance of the lovely Penelope Cullen from Tigerlily Weddings, we managed to plan a significantly smaller day with a luxury feel. We got married in a registry office at Old Marylebone Town Hall. The building already had an ornate and grand aesthetic so we didn't need to do any decorating. Because everything was so last minute we left most of the decorations down to the venues, which helped take the pressure off us. Afterwards, we took pictures outside with our family and friends and then we all headed to Fortnum & Mason for afternoon tea. We were all seated in a socially-distanced way and left doors open for ventilation. We did speeches and for the entertainment portion of the night did a few wedding-related quizzes. Dancing wasn't really allowed but Jamie still managed to spin me around for the photos!
