With our annual Suzanne Neville designer day due to take place on 4th November, it was with much anxiety that we waited to find out the start date for the latest UK Lockdown. You can imagine the relief when it was announced that the lockdown would begin the day after our event, allowing us to continue with this special day that so many of our brides had been looking forward to for weeks.

It was the perfect last hurrah at the chapel, before the doors were to be closed for 4 weeks. We were blessed with a glorious crisp but bright autumnal day, which was filled with gorgeous flowers, stunning fashion and the loveliest brides.

We were delighted to welcome the lovely Becs from Mad Lilies to the chapel, who created her first solo Miss Bush arch; a beautiful seasonal display with rustic foliage completed by a combination of soft off white and rich purple flowers. Inside were more gorgeously styled floral creations, which sat next to a brilliant new retail display from The Wedding Present Company.

Guests were also treated to a spot of pampering on our Beauty Balcony, with hair and make up trials from Carolanne Armstrong and Sharon Roberts. Both long time members of Team Bush, both artists prepared the balcony to make sure they were able to operate in a Covid secure way.

With the pandemic still playing havoc with our ability to serve food and drink, we partnered with some of our neighbour businesses in Ripley, offering complimentary tea and coffee at Nest Home and Café or a glass of fizz with some tasty canapés at  The Anchor.

After working with him on some recent shoots, it was also wonderful to welcome Wojtek from Voyteck Photography to the chapel for the first time to capture these stunning images from the event which perfectly depict the calm, intimate atmosphere from the day.
