We're delighted to share Kate and Matt's elegant, intimate Cotswolds wedding with you on the blog today, which took place at beautiful country house venue, Pauntley Court.

To create her dream bridal outfit, Kate wore a combination of styles from Jesus Peiro along with a custom Nortier top. Starting with 2504 as her base, Kate combined the full split skirt and belted waist with the strapless fitted bodice from style 2316. To finish her look, Kate opted for the beautiful 'Christy' lace top with full length sleeves and high neckline, created in-house by Nortier at Miss Bush. This was the perfect choice to allow Kate to transform her look later in the day, when she removed the top for the portraits and reception.

When it came to styling, Kate opted for simple, classic accessories, wearing a pair of timeless ivory court shoes and a romantic single tier veil. Later in the day, Kate swapped her shoes for a pair of bow embellished mules from Loeffler Randall - which worked brilliantly with the split skirt!

Custom Jesus Peiro strapless wedding dress with Nortier lace top

The skirt was originally part of Jesus Peiro style 2504, which I combined with the strapless bodice from style 2316, worn with a lace top from Nortier.

I shopped alone, and my favourite part of the dress shopping experience was stepping into the chapel. I instantly felt, “This is where I’ll find my dress.” I was in awe of the stunning building and the gorgeous gowns — it was such a meaningful experience to try on different styles, and I especially loved being able to mix and match!

Dress Shopping

I had a change of heart!

I originally ordered style JP2504, and while it’s a stunning dress, something felt “off” when it arrived for my styling appointment. Once I got home, I realized the emotions just didn’t feel right — so I quickly sent an email explaining that I thought I’d made a mistake.

The team couldn’t have been more supportive. They arranged for a version of the dress with the beaded top to be brought in from another store for me to try the following week. I tried that one on, along with my original dress, but deep down I knew my instincts were right — I had chosen the wrong style.

That’s when Jo and Corinne stepped in and worked their magic. One of the most incredible things about Jesus Peiro is the ability to mix and match elements. We started trying different tops with the skirt from my original dress, and eventually landed on the strapless bodice paired with the Nortier lace top. The moment I put it on, everything changed — my mood lifted, and I knew it was the one.

From the moment I changed my mind to finalizing an almost entirely new look, we had just six weeks—but thanks to the calm, professional, and genuinely caring team at Miss Bush, the entire experience felt smooth and stress-free. I’m so grateful for their support and dedication.

Styling

I always knew I wanted something somewhat traditional—timeless, but with a subtle nod to current trends. That’s why I chose the Nortier lace top; it felt perfect for the ceremony and formal photos. I had originally bought a pair of Loeffler Randall bow heels to wear with my dress, but they felt a bit too detailed alongside the lace, so I opted for a pair of simple court heels for this part of the day.

Before the wedding breakfast, I removed the lace top and swapped into the bow heels so my JP dress could truly shine! I absolutely loved the belt—it really completed the whole look for me, especially since I’m not someone who wears a lot of accessories.

My bag was handmade by a brand called Roop. I wanted something a bit different and beautifully crafted, and it was perfect—especially with our initials embroidered on it.

As for jewellery, I kept it simple: just my engagement ring and a pair of mother of pearl earrings by Carrie Elizabeth. They were a gift from Matt a few years ago and made for the perfect “something old” on the day.

A classic, intimate and beautiful wedding at Pauntley Court

The Cotswolds hold a special place in our hearts, so we always knew we wanted an intimate wedding set in that beautiful part of the world. Pauntley Court was the perfect choice—a stunning English country manor with breathtaking interiors and gardens. Although our wedding was in early April, we planned to have the ceremony outdoors, and we were incredibly lucky with the weather—it was absolutely glorious!

When searching for venues, we were drawn to places that were naturally beautiful and didn’t require much extra styling—just some thoughtfully placed flowers and candles. Pauntley Court fit that vision perfectly.

Our florist, The Ledbury Flower Farmer, works exclusively with seasonal blooms, which added such a natural, effortless charm to the day. We also incorporated a collection of vintage medicine bottles that Matt’s dad, Stan, had lovingly gathered over the years—they made the perfect vases. Though Stan is no longer with us, including those bottles was our way of having him there with us, and it truly felt like he was.

The best bits

Seeing Matt for the first time and his reaction as I walked down the aisle was a moment I’ll never forget.

Having our closest friends and family with us for the whole weekend made everything feel so personal and special - they were such a big part of the celebration.

Getting ready was so much fun, full of excitement and glam!

And the speeches… they were incredible. So full of love, genuinely moving (and not at all cringey!) The guys absolutely nailed them, and everyone loved every word.

I wish I could relive it all - it was the most magical experience.

Kate's Advice

It’s completely okay to change your mind! There’s so much pressure around finding “the one”, and sometimes it takes a little time—and a second try—to realise how you truly feel about your dress. Don’t panic! You’re in the best hands with the team at Miss Bush.

Top tip: steam your dress the night before!

Above all, trust that everything will come together beautifully. Rely on the professionals, keep a to-do list to stay organised, but don’t let the pressure take away from the joy of the experience.
