Kirsty and PJ's classic Summer wedding took place at beautiful country house wedding venue Bradbourne House in East Malling, Kent. The day began with a romantic outdoor ceremony, where the couple exchanged vows on the steps of the Great Hall, followed by cocktail hour and an elegant wedding breakfast in the Great Hall. The day was filled with glorious sunshine, beautiful fresh green and white floral displays and thoughtful personal touches to make the day extra special.
Kirsty wore a custom Jesus Peiro wedding dress, combining elements she loved from two different styles to create her perfect bridal look. Based on Style 2410, the dress was customised to include the 2520 bodice, resulting in a chic, elegant halterneck dress with a fitted cummerbund waist above a gently flared a-line skirt. To style her look, Kirsty allowed the dress shine with minimal accessories, opting for classic pearl drop earrings and her hair in glamorous soft waves.

Custom Jesus Peiro wedding dress
I went with a custom Jesus Peiro dress (2520 bodice with 2410 skirt, I think!) I loved the halterneck of the bodice and the fit of the waistline, plus the skirt had pockets! I came to Miss Bush because I wanted to try Jesus Peiro and I’m so glad I did, the dresses are a dream and when Emma told me they could be custom made so I could have the style of the bodice I loved from one coupled with the skirt I loved from another I knew I would be getting something special. I felt stylish and comfortable all day in it.
I brought my mum and two of my bridesmaids, they loved the dress just as much as me. My sister in law came with me to all of my appointments and her excitement with Jesus Peiro really confirmed I’d made the right choice.
Dress Shopping at Miss Bush
The whole experience at Miss Bush is very special. Emma’s expertise, the team’s dedication, the spectacle of the chapel and of course the dresses is something I’ll never forget. I have a photo from trying on a version of my dress in Miss Bush that I tried to recreate on the wedding day (hands in pockets!) so that I can remember the experience looking back.
My dress had to have some adjustments between it being made and finalised (my fault) which I understand was challenging, but I was never in any doubt that I’d walk away with a beautiful dress and it fit me like a glove.
Styling
The dress was so amazing that I knew I didn’t want a veil or anything overly fussy, my own style is quite simple so I let the dress do the talking! It had a stunning back but I wanted to wear my hair down, between moving and dancing you could still see the back line. I went with pearl accessories, the dress was the main event!
A classic Summer wedding at Bradbourne House, Kent
We got married at Bradbourne House in East Malling, Kent, which is a beautiful old country home. We had an outdoor, civil ceremony doing our vows on the steps of the Great Hall, decorated with beautiful green and white flowers from our local florist - Sepal - and personal touches in our ceremony included a reading by PJ’s Dad and a poem written by some of my closest girlfriends. We did a cocktail hour after the wedding breakfast, and with the sun beaming and some personalised (strong!) cocktails it made for such a fun afternoon!
The best bits
Surprisingly our first dance is a highlight for me - I had been incredibly nervous! Plus the cocktail hour, and some beautiful words from PJ’s Mum in a speech she gave which is a quote by Leonard Cohen and we feel it sums us up: “you go your way, and I’ll go your way too”.
