We’re delighted to share Katie and Matt’s beautiful destination wedding with you today, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Fethiye on Turkey’s Turquoise Coast. The wedding day formed part of a four-day celebration, bringing their favourite people together for a few unforgettable days in stunning surroundings.
Katie wore Divine Atelier's Leya dress, which was the perfect choice for her relaxed, Summer wedding day. Made from luxurious premium silk, Leya is a sleek, elegant dress featuring a fitted bodice with structured detail and a delicate spaghetti strap halter neckline. The skirt is gathered at the waist to create a ruched finish, coming together at the back to create a sweeping train. To style her dress, Katie kept her accessories minimal and contemporary, opting for simple pearl earrings and a classic single tier veil from Nortier.

Divine Atelier Leya wedding dress
My brief for my wedding dress was something modern and simple, but with a special something about it (a puff sleeve, a cape, a scarf etc). I had been to three bridal appointments before coming to Miss Bush and whilst there were a couple of dresses I quite liked, I didn’t get the wow feeling... until I found the Divine Atelier Leya. It was everything I was looking for and more - I love how different the neckline is and the shape was so flattering on my figure, with the corseted top and draping around the hips. The silk fabric felt super luxurious, but the dress was also still light and comfortable, making it perfect for our destination wedding.
Dress Shopping at Miss Bush
It was just me and my mum dress shopping, which was really special. I’d heard that Emma was the fairy godmother of wedding dresses, and after hearing what I was looking for, she picked the Leya as the first dress for me to try on. As soon as I put it on, Mum gave me a look and I knew it was ‘the one’ – we both were so excited.
There is such a lovely relaxed but special atmosphere in the Chapel. The beautiful rooms, large changing rooms and all the lovely Miss Bush team who were so knowledgeable and friendly, they really made the whole experience. The Gusbourne fizz was delicious too - one of my bridesmaids bought me a bottle to remember the experience.
Styling
I kept everything quite minimal because I wanted to keep the focus on the dress. I wore the Bruna the Label Cluster Pearl Earrings and wore a simple single-tier veil from Nortier and pointed ivory silk heels from Rainbow Club.
A fun, relaxed destination wedding in Turkey
We got married at Turunç House in a tiny village called Kayaköy, near Fethiye in Türkiye. My family previously owned a villa in the area, so it felt so special to bring all our favourite people somewhere that holds so many happy memories.
As everyone was travelling, we wanted to make the most of having everyone together, so we planned four days of celebrations. We kicked things off with a white party and welcome cocktails at one of our favourite bars, followed by a boat day, our wedding at Turunç House, and then a relaxed recovery day at a beach club. It made the whole trip feel so much more than just a wedding and gave us so much quality time with everyone.
The wedding itself started at 4.30pm, once the heat of the day had eased. We had our ceremony in the gardens, led by two of our best friends, which was so personal and thoughtful. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed cocktail hour before we moved into a candlelit dinner with mezze and Turkish sharing barbeque, followed by cake cutting a tower of baklava and dancing the night away. We wanted the whole day to feel elegant but relaxed, a Turkish summer garden party, - it was everything we'd hoped for and more.
The best bits
There are so many incredible but our top two moments are…
Walking down the aisle to sixteen of our incredibly talented musical friends singing Olivia Dean's ‘Dive’.
And jumping into the pool as husband and wife at the end of the night followed by all of our friends and family in their dresses and suits. I changed into a shorter dress because there was no way I was getting my Divine Atelier dress wet! It was one of those moments where you look around and think, wow... this is our life. It was the perfect way to end the most amazing day.
