For any of you who might be planning a December wedding right now, this post is for you! Our bride Amelia planned a stylish, elegant Christmas wedding which took place at Pembroke Lodge, with subtle festive details in keeping with the season without a fully ‘themed’ wedding. Amelia wore a structured contemporary Jesus Peiro gown which was perfect for their chic winter celebration.

Amelia tells us all about their day, which took place at Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park…

THE DRESS

I wore Jesus Peiro 8007. I found my bridesmaids dresses first and as they were very lacy and detailed, I wanted to have a very plain dress. I didn’t want any lace or embellishment.

When I came to Miss Bush with my grandma, who was buying my dress, I told Emma my budget and she told me not to look at anything apart from the 4 sample dresses she picked out for me after I told her what I was after.

I loved them all! We narrowed it down to two and the next day brought my mum with us and got the dress. I was so in love with it.

DRESS SHOPPING

My grandma came to every appointment with me and and kindly paid for my dress! My mum came along when we picked it, and she actually got her dress from you when she got married. Their reaction was so sweet, they loved it!

My favourite part of the dress shopping experience was getting to try on different dresses and feeling like a princess!

STYLING

I wore navy suede pointed heels from LK bennet perfect height and comfy.
My veil was my grandmas and you kindly changed the comb and took off the silk roses for me. My star headband was from Debenhams £13! My earrings were my aunties from pandora they were sapphire like.

AN ELEGANT CHRISTMAS WEDDING AT PEMBROKE LODGE

Because we decided on a wedding in December we really wanted to include a touch of Christmas without going over board. Our amazing florist really turned our venue into a beautiful setting using gorgeous colours that complimented the bridemaids dresses, loads of textures, pine cones, petals and candles!

THE BEST BITS

My favourite part of the day has to be dancing and singing the night away on the dance floor with my husband and our friends and family! Everyone was in such good spirits!

ADVICE FROM THE BRIDE

I went to 7 dress shops and tried on about 70 dresses before I visited miss bush and found the one- dont bother visiting the other shops haha!
Enjoy it and get a wedding planning book so you can tick things off as you go!
Get a videographer as well as a photographer if you can because you will see things you didn’t catch on the day.
