Jesus Peiro 6000 wedding dress

I chose the Jesus Peiro 6000. FUN FACT! Seeing the dress on the MB website is what drove me to make enquiries. When I got to the chapel, I was so overwhelmed by wedding dress shopping so I had completely forgotten about the dress. Corinne took one look at me and asked if I would do her a favour and try on a dress she just feels would look stunning on me. So she brought out the dress and before even wearing it, I just knew it was my wedding dress. I had initially wanted a mermaid silhouette but I am SO happy with my choice.

I love how modern and clean cut the design is, the massive bow is the perfect touch of whimsical I just knew I wanted. I love the neckline and the pockets, I needed absolutely no undergarments with this dress, the MB team ensured it was tailored to PERFECTION and I will be forever grateful.

Wearing it on the day was UNREAL! I didn't realise how special the dress was until I saw the reactions on people's faces. They were all in awe. I felt so beautiful and elegant, I was very body conscious at first because I hadn't reached my goal weight (due to all the stress eating from the wedding planning stress) so I was a little nervous, but the entire day was such an amazing outpouring of love and joy and I have never felt more beautiful.

A special thank you to Corinne and Emma and the rest of the fantastic Miss Bush team! The Chapel will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart.

Dress Shopping

My mom and brother came with me to find the dress, I tried on about 4 dresses and my very impatient brother was reaching his limit, then I tried on the dress and his face lit up and he literally said "This is it, we are done looking". Then we face-timed the rest of the family and it was settled!

What was your favourite part of the dress shopping experience? The team was AMAZING! I just loved the energy in the room, I felt so well taken care of, like I was the only bride in the room, and there were 2 others in the Chapel that day.

Styling

I knew I wanted all the attention on the dress, I had initially played with the idea of a top bun and was almost settled on it but then 2 weeks to the wedding, I parted my hair in two and twisted each side then packed it into a low-bun. My mom saw me and said "this is how you should do your hair on your wedding day" and it was settled. I also went ahead to use fresh orchids in my hair, I just loved the idea of fresh flowers in my hair, since it was a garden wedding. For jewellery I kept it very minimal, my mom and I found the most stunning pearl earrings and I paired them with her tennis bracelet as my something borrowed. I had initially gotten a pair of Jimmy Choo's as wedding shoes, but we started looking for block heels a month to the wedding since it was going to be a garden wedding. I remember seeing a pair of shoes at Miss Bush and they reminded me so much of my mom's wedding shoes, plus they were block heels so it was a no brainer really.

Inspiration

I was inspired by Princess Margret and Grace Kelly's bridal looks, I wanted to look effortlessly regal and elegant, I wanted my make up to be really simple and dewy, I remember telling Dodos my make up artist to make me look like the best version of myself.

Feyi's Advice
