Georgie and Andy's simple, beautiful wedding took place on the coast of Cornwall in picturesque Perranuthnoe. The ceremony took place at the local church, followed by an elegantly styled marquee reception in a farmer’s field just up the road. Filled with stunning blooms and with incredible views over the lavender fields, countryside and coastline, the feel of the day was relaxed, rustic and nature inspired.

Georgie wore Suzanne Neville's Sapphire wedding dress; a classic, beautiful gown with a crossover bodice and an elegant off the shoulder portrait neckline. Below the fitted bodice is a full, romantic ballgown skirt with pockets. Georgie styled her dress with minimal accessories, opting for 'something borrowed' pearl earrings from her Mum, and a simple white satin headband with loose tumbling curls; just perfect for the relaxed nature of the day.

Suzanne Neville Sapphire wedding dress

As soon as I put it on was the first time I felt like a bride! My Mum and sister were with me when I found the dress, they loved it as much as I did ❤️

My favourite part of the dress shopping experience was the Suzanne Neville designer day.

Styling

I styled my dress with a white satin headband and my mum’s pearl drop earrings from her wedding day. My shoes were flat and not too expensive as I knew they would be ruined on the cliffs and in the field and I didn’t want to be worrying about them! They were from Marks and Spencer and incredibly comfortable also.

A Cornwall coast wedding

My main priority was for it to feel relaxed and everyone to have a good time! I wanted to mainly decorate with flowers and foliage so the tables weren’t too busy.

It was a very windy day which eventually climaxed in a thunderstorm during the speeches (so a classic Cornish June day!) It actually made dinner and the speeches lovely and atmospheric with the wind howling outside and soft lighting and candles in the marquee. Later on in the evening it brightened up and we had the most stunning sunset to start off the evening celebrations!

My favourite part of the day was probably coming out of the church to all of our friends and family with confetti and finally realising we’d done the hard part and could relax!

Georgie's Advice

Try not to take it too seriously! Whatever happens on the day you will be getting married ❤️
