We’re delighted to share our bride Joanne’s wedding with you today, who married her husband Neil in an intimate, peaceful celebration at Barnett Hill Country House Hotel in Guildford wearing a stunning bespoke Suzanne Neville gown.

A BESPOKE SUZANNE NEVILLE WEDDING DRESS

Which dress did you choose in the end? I chose a Suzanne Neville, it was a combination of Aria (top) and Iris (skirt), (Iris also being my grandmothers name). The skirt of the dress was also taken in so it dropped to my figure. Not having a church wedding, I didn’t want it to be too puffed out. I loved the end result, a dress made for me, and I felt amazing wearing it.

Who did you bring with you when you found ‘the one’? What was their reaction like? My mum and sister, they said it suited my figure and I looked lovely in it, not too fussy!

What was your favourite part of the dress shopping experience? Trying on all the different designs of dress, to see which one looked best. What I thought I would have, and what I ended up getting was totally different, but I definitely made the right choice.

STYLING

I had a hair vine, pearl and diamond, with matching earrings, necklace and bracelet. I also wore the headband my husbands late mother wore on her own wedding day. The shoes were diamanté sandals with a block heel.

AN INTIMATE, PEACEFUL WEDDING DAY

The wedding was very small, only ten people including the bride and groom. We had the wedding ceremony, followed by drinks and canapés, and then an evening meal. It was lovely and intimate, making it very special. 5 weeks later we had a wedding celebration party for all family and friends, which was a great success after our honeymoon on the Orient Express to Venice.

THE BEST BITS

Becoming Neil’s wife, and having our 15 month old daughter walk with me down the aisle.

ADVICE FROM THE BRIDE

I would definitely recommend a visit to Miss Bush, using there knowledge and experience to find the perfect dream dress for your height, size and figure. It’s so important to feel amazing on your wedding day.
