Hello! Our wedding today comes to you from beautiful Hampshire, where our bride Sam married Steve in an elegant wedding at Froyle Park, Alton. Sam and Steve’s day was smart but relaxed, with a rich colour palette of gold, burgundy and navy, in beautiful surroundings.

Sam wore our Dress of the Year 2018, Jesus Peiro ‘8004’ featuring a stunning delicate lace bodice with exquisite full length scalloped edge sleeves and a romantic full skirt with pockets.

Sam tells us more about their day, and finding her Jesus Peiro wedding dress…

JESUS PEIRO 8004 LACE AND SATIN WEDDING DRESS

I wore Jesus Peiro 8004 and honestly felt a million dollars, it took me a long time to find a dress and this was just perfect. The lace was so soft and I loved the waist band. It meant I could wear a big wedding dress but still feel like I could show my figure off. It was just perfect.

DRESS SHOPPING

My Step-Mum Julie and my Sister Lisa had been trawling around bridal shops with me for months and I think we all thought I was never going to find ‘the one’! I turned up at Miss Bush feeling really disheartened to still not have found a dress and very little time left to order. Emma literally changed all that from the second we walked into the Chapel. Miss Bush was the first bridal shop to dress me for my figure and 4 absolutely amazingly stunning dresses were put on me. Each one was different but I finally knew I was going to find my dress. My sister said this is the first time she had seen me smile wearing a wedding dress which was the Jesus Peiro -Style 8004. I knew it was the one but Emma gave me another month to think about it. I was 100% sure of my choice and beamed with joy every time I tried it on.

I didn’t enjoy dress shopping until I found Miss Bush. Miss Bush made me super comfortable, honestly cared about finding me the perfect dress and all the staff were just as excited as me. The Chapel was a real highlight, it’s a beautiful building fit for stunning dresses.

STYLING

I went for a modern, classic and clean look. My dress was accompanied by a massive and beautiful Ivory vale, gold Harriet Wilde shoes, a gold pin from Ivory and Co in my hair, classic diamond earnings which I borrowed off my sister from our late Mum so I had a part of her on my day with me. Hubby to be had also got me a Breitling watch as my wedding present which was perfect for the day. My nails and lips were burgundy to match my bridesmaids. All came together brilliantly.

AN ELEGANT WEDDING DAY

I’m a little OCD so everything had to look classic and clean but fun and welcoming. My colour theme was ivory, gold, burgundy and navy which sounds like a lot but it worked really well on the day and I am so pleased how it all came together. The bridesmaids looked stunning in Mori Lee burgundy dresses with a similar neckline to me. The guys worn modern navy and black tuxedos and looked like they were out of a James Bond movie. Our flowers followed the clean and classic look and had hints of Astrantia to keep the burgundy theme going. Oh and the venue was just stunning!

THE BEST BITS

My bridesmaid Ashleigh and sister Lisa arranged for my horse Hottie (aka Hot Spot) to come to the wedding as a massive surprise. It was truly amazing and I went through every emotion; was shocked, cried, laughed and loved having him there to be in our photos. He was turned out beautifully and made my day even more special.

It was the 29th September and it felt like a hot summers day, the guests were bright and colorful and I could see smiles all around. Me and my husband honestly had the best day of our lives and we were surrounded by so much love from family and friends. A magical day!
