Evie and Jack's beautiful countryside wedding took place in July at their stunning family farm in East Sussex. The day began with a romantic outdoor ceremony in the idyllic English country garden, followed by an elegantly styled marquee reception. The day was packed full of thoughtful, personal details, all planned and styled by Evie and Jack.

For her dress, Evie chose Jesus Peiro's 2232, a simple empire line dress in soft crepe with an elegant v-neckline. Evie styled her look with minimal accessories, choosing a single tier veil and classic drop earrings. To finish her look, Evie wore Freya Rose block heels, and carried and extra large bouquet with stunning creamy white roses and peonies; just perfect for the summer garden party theme.

Jesus Peiro 2232 wedding dress

I chose a Jesus Peiro dress that was super elegant. The material was beautiful that flowed down easily, not too heavy so it was very comfortable to walk around and dance in. I loved most the simplicity of it and the way it fit so well for, it was beautiful with a lace veil added on for the final touch

Dress Shopping

My mum and sister came with me and they instantly said ‘ that’s you’ I always thought I would have a lacy dress but when I put this one on it just worked . How easily I moved in it as well they saidMiss Bush’s chapel is different to the London stores that I had originally been too. It was much more relaxing, friendly, and the girls really cared about helping you. It had such a comfortable and relaxing feeling inside while you were trying dresses on. I never felt forced with any dresses it was a relaxed atmosphere which helps the nerves !

Styling

I had a beautiful veil that worked so well for the ceremony. My something blue were my dangly sapphire earrings. I had white roses in my hair and a huge bouquet ! Bigger than what I see most brides have, I loved it!The shoes were from Freya Rose, a champagne colour. Low block heel, went for comfort first but was lucky to find a pair that was also aesthetically very good! Would highly recommend this brand!

About the Day

It was at my family home in the countryside, East Sussex. Jack and I did everything ourselves right down to the finer details. No wedding planner which our caterer said was crazy! But we enjoy planning a big party. It was a beautiful outdoor ceremony in front of the house under a huge floral arch. Followed by an outside Aperol bar afterwards with many canapés and champagne too. The marquee was set in front of a beautiful lake where we got on a pedalo across it together, heading towards our glamping tent where we slept, along with 80 people glamping on the other side,  Everyone danced the night away into the early hours! 5am was the last person standing… too many espresso martinis and margaritas but all worth it!We also wrote a message in a bottle per person, personalised to that person, which made people cry, it was wonderful to watch from our table !

The best bits

All of it was perfect and so much fun everyone keeps saying, but definitely the speeches, they blew me and everyone in the room away. I also loved how the ceremony flowed, we made it completely our own so we were nervous if it would work but it was beautiful, especially doing our own vows there was not a dry eye in the house !I just wish it went slower !

Evie's Advice

Don’t be completely set in your head what you want before you try. As you will be surprised what works and what doesn’t. What I thought would work didn’t at all once it was on me! Be patient with it.Maybe get a wedding planner if you are planning on a 150 people wedding at your own home we didn’t and we are proud of that but the stress was very high!!! If you are doing it yourself like us, keep making lists every time something comes into your head write it down. As long as the music is good, people have a drink in there hand and get some food, everyone will be happy!I have never had a day go so fast in my life, we are both in shock at how it felt like it was in fast forward. Try and slow it down if you can, take a moment away from the madness, I wish I did that more!
