Hannah & Owen's beautiful wedding in Wales took place in late June, at the stunning Nanteos Mansion, just outside Aberystwyth. Surrounded by 30 acres of woodland and with a backdrop of incredible countryside views, the day was intimate and relaxed, with elegant styling and thoughtful personal details.

Hannah wore one of Jesus Peiro's most loved, iconic dresses from the 2020 Cala collection; Style 121. As one of the first dresses to include that incredible wrap skirt with split, statement shoes were a must; Hannah opted for some exquisite pearl encrusted open toe heels from Charlotte Mills. To the back of the dress, the open back is adorned with delicate spaghetti straps with ballerina inspired crossover detailing.

Jesus Peiro 121 wedding dress

I chose the 121 Jesus Peiro dress. I loved the simplicity and elegance of it. The structure, and the shape of the dress are beautiful. The tulip wrap skirt and the crossover spaghetti straps at the back gave it a modern feel. Willow did an incredible job altering the dress, so it fitted me perfectly.

Dress Shopping

There were still covid restrictions in place when I had my first appointment at Miss Bush with Emma but that didn’t detract from the experience in any way. I took my Mum with me, and we both had such a wonderful experience. We were looked after so well. Emma is so knowledgeable and professional and has such a calming presence which made the trying on process so relaxed and enjoyable. The entire team at Miss Bush are incredible! I had already pre-selected a few dresses to try on ahead of the appointment. I tried on around ten dresses in total and the Jesus Peiro 121 was one of the last ones I tried on. Emma picked it out for me and as soon as I walked out of the dressing room and saw my Mum’s face, I knew it was the one for me.

Styling

I kept my accessories to a minimum; I wanted the fabulous dress to do all the talking! I wore a pair of pearl drop earrings and had my hair up in a simple high bun with a few Miss Clemmie pearl hair pins.

I wanted to find a pair of heels that I could last all day in. I went for a pair of beautiful, open-toe Charlotte Mills heels with a pearl detail at the front.

About the Day

We had the most amazing day and enjoyed ourselves so much! We wanted the day to be as relaxed as possible. There were so many of our friends and family that we hadn’t seen or spent a lot of time with over the last two plus years due to the pandemic, so it was such a joy to have everyone together. We are both from Aberystwyth in Wales, so it was important to us to get married there. We chose a beautiful country mansion as our wedding venue and hired the whole place for the weekend to spread out the festivities over a couple of days!

The best bits

Being surrounded by all our favourite people! Our ceremony was so special, the venue and food were amazing. We had great fun dancing away at the end of the night.

Hannah's Advice

Miss Bush was the only place I went looking for a wedding dress and I'm so glad I did. Trust the team there, they are experts and will take good care of you.

Think about what kind of day you as a couple want and stick to that. Do as much planning and organising as you can in advance to save on stress later on. Not everything will go perfectly to plan on the day but honestly it really won't matter! It will be the most amazing and memorable day.
