Rose and Andy's stunning wedding took place at two glorious locations; beginning at the breathtaking Southwell Minster, followed by a fun, relaxed reception in the beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside. We love the contrast between the formal Cathedral ceremony and the marquee reception, which looked like so much fun. Who doesn't love an ice cream and egg and spoon race?

Rose wore Jesus Peiro 907 which worked perfectly for both locations; the full romantic skirt was bold and dramatic for the ceremony with a lace trimmed cathedral length veil, whilst the capped sleeved lace bodice was just right for frolicking in the field later on.

Jesus Peiro 907 wedding dress

I chose the Jesus Peiro dress. It was the first dress I had seen online and the first dress I tried on. I instantly knew that I LOVED it! A year on I still adore it and would definitely choose it again.

I brought with me my mum and my friend Suzie who had bought her own wedding dress from Miss Bush and who recommended it to me. I thought my mum was going to be very hard to please but to my amazement she loved it and that sealed the deal - who said wedding dress shopping was tricky!

Dress Shopping

I loved it all. It wasn't stressful at all, it was just a lovely friendly and relaxed atmosphere. I'd definitely do it again!

Miss Bush were great. I emailed them with hundreds of questions along the way and they were always quick to get back to me and put my mind at ease.

A fun, relaxed, countryside wedding

It was hands down the best day of my life. I constantly look at my photos and would love to do the whole thing again.

It was a wedding of two halves, a fairly formal service followed by a very relaxed reception in a field surrounded by family and friends. The dress was perfect for both settings. It looked grand enough for the cathedral yet it was comfy enough for me to move around the field at the reception. Il managed to serve ice creams from the cream van and even take part in the egg and spoon race, although I did give the sack race a miss!

Rose's Advice

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! You will miss it when its gone! The planning and preparation was one of my favourite bits. I made lots of the signs, props and did the flowers myself. If you've got a little more time than you thought you would have don't panic use it to do all those finishing touches you thought you would never have time to do.
