We're delighted to share Jake and Ellie's wedding with you today! Ellie wore Jesus Peiro 8004 for their magical autumnal wedding day, which took place at Wotton House last October. 8004 is an iconic Jesus Peiro classic featuring a delicate lace bodice with full length scalloped sleeves, a wide comfortable waistband and full structured skirt (with pockets!) It was the perfect choice for Ellie's romantic, intimate wedding day, and she styled the gown beautifully with her epic sparkly cathedral length veil and dreamy embellished Louboutin heels.

Read on for more information about the day and planning process in Ellies's own words, with photography by Tom Jeavons.

Jesus Peiro 8004 wedding dress

Is it too stereotypical to say I felt like a princess? Actually, no I lie, I felt like a Queen! To me, the dress was simply stunning. Its simple lines mixed with intricate detailing in the lace complimented each other perfectly.

I was lucky enough to go dress shopping pre COVID. On my first visit, my sister, mum and nan joined me. The day started with a coffee (hot chocolate in my case!) in Nest Home & Cafe together next door to Miss Bush. On my second visit, I was able to bring my Bridesmaids - this was a totally different experience to that with my immediate family... one of the girls wanted me in a bigger petticoat and others in the smaller one! It almost felt like those moments in a certain fairy tale we all know... 'make it pink, make it blue' - either way Emma was able to assist me in trying all the looks!

Dress Shopping

The experience was perfect - at my first appointment Emma encouraged me to try on a few different styles and gave me a really good understanding of what was possible. When it came to trying on the dress that I had my eyes set on, it certainly was a different experience but actually one of my favourites. With me being on the larger side of life and the sample size being a size 6, the team went above and beyond to show me how that dress could look on me... needless to say it required a bit of imagination but gave me a really good vision!

My biggest fear was finding a dress that would fit my boobs. Fit in the sense of not showing them off too much and also in general, finding a dress that would go around them. Before I visited the shop, I sent a DM on Instagram to get an understanding of what sizes they can accommodate. After being turned away from other bridal shops, Miss Bush reassured me that every dress is created individually to fit the person - I cannot express how reassuring and included this made me feel. Emma was on hand to answer all my queries and put me at total ease throughout the entire lead up to the wedding.

Styling

The veil...! Need I say more? Having forced every single person I knew to enter the Christmas competition on my behalf, I was ecstatic when I won!!! It was the one accessory I needed. Having such a simple dress with no glitter, the veil finished it off with the perfect amount of sparkle to match my glittery pink red-soled shoes!

A romantic, atmospheric Wotton House wedding

After discovering Wotton House I knew I wanted the slightly moody, romantic mixed with luxury vibe - can you tell I've been on Pinterest way too much?

The best bits

Thinking back, I actually don't think I could pick a specific part of the day. It wasn't the day we had originally planned at all - having had the day cut from 80 people down to 30, and then again to just 15, the entire format had been changed! With the traditional 'dancing' reception being restricted, we decided to host a 'Jellie Quiz'. The questions were focussed around us, our family and our friends. Both sides of the family got involved and it brought everyone closer together. However I was slightly concerned about how much my mum didn't know about me!!!

Ellie's Advice

I found it was so so easy to get overwhelmed by the amount of ideas out there for weddings - please don't sweat trying to do them all. Your day will be perfect whatever you do!

Through all the trauma and troubles we faced as a couple, the one thing that we knew was that we wanted to get married. Whatever happens, do not lose sight of that! Before the day, we both felt like we had lost so much of our day and to be fair, we did. What we had been planning for almost 3 years was ripped away from us in a matter of months and days. However, looking back now our day was perfect for us - there was no stress, there was no worry and we managed to see every single one of our guests and find time to talk to each other!! We are now in the process of planning our reception to celebrate our 1 year anniversary (another excuse to put my dress on!)

Also, I must add - out of our 15 people, we didn't have one single COVID case following the big day!
