Maeve and Will's joyful wedding day took place in the beautiful surroundings of Co. Tipperary, Ireland, at the stunning Ashley Park House, Nenagh. With an early November wedding date, the feel of the day was cosy and relaxed, with a 'country chic' vibe inspired by their beautiful venue.

Maeve wore Jesus Peiro 2228 from the 2022 Textures Collection. This sleek, easy to wear dress features a low v-neckline and matching v-back alongside a flowing A-line skirt and cummerbund waist. Fitted bracelet length sleeves with crocheted cut out panels that added creativity and interest to an otherwise simple design. Maeve made the dress her own with the addition of buttons and sleeves to the back, and also adjusted the neckline to suit her own personal style.

A Jesus Peiro wedding dress

I chose Jesus Peiro 2228.I felt like a princess, the dress was so timeless and elegant. With Ben's help we added in the buttons on the sleeves and on the back to make it feel a little bit more unique and the addition of the fabric at the front gave me so much confidence that I wasn’t showing too much! It was so comfortable to walk and dance- I didn’t get off the dance floor and the addition of the bustle helped me keep people stepping on it when on the dance floor.

I’ve never felt so gracious and elegant and princess like before. The fabric floated and allowed me to move with ease. I’m definitely going to try and find another opportunity to wear it again...somehow!

Dress Shopping

I had my Mum and my Aunt Dee with me when I found the dress. It was actually my Mum who picked the dress off the rails, and when I tried it on (even though it was far too big, I knew this was the style I was looking for). They loved all the dresses I put on (very helpful) but when I put this on and out the “look” together they were blown away. That sinched the deal for me as much as I loved it myself, the look on my Mums and Aunts faces made it all the better.

Wedding dressing is hard, the choices are plenty and the decisions that have to be made are numerous. When I arrived to Miss Bush I was already burnt out, but Ben was a saviour. He listened to the styles I had tried on previously and was so kind and generous with his time and ideas and massively put me at ease from the get-go.

He didn’t push any questions or choices on me and therefore the final decision was so easy to make as I could breathe without the pressure. At every subsequent appointment, I thoroughly enjoyed the chats and laughs with Ben, all the slight amends made to my dress we’re all taken care of with such diligence and care, I knew I was in great hands and couldn’t have asked for a better service from all the team at Miss Bush.

The Miss Bush team were always available to help in any way. Contactable via email or phone and were always as helpful as possible with updates and changes to appointments where necessary! Super service!

Styling

My style was relaxed and elegant, hopefully timeless. I always wanted an up style so had a rolled bun which my veil could slit exactly into.

Trying to bargain hunt, my shoes were bought in a sample sale for a fraction of the retail cost from Emmy wedding shoes.

I don’t wear too much makeup on a day-to-day basis therefore I wanted to keep the natural look but enhance it (given it is my wedding day after all)! Siobhan, my make up artist did a superb job making my skin look flawless and keeping that natural but elegant look I wanted. I love my entire look and felt like a princess for the day.

About the Day

The theme to the wedding was country chic. The venue really dictated the theme and as Ashley Park House is so spectacular we didn’t need a huge amount of extra styling, it spoke for itself with its lakeside location and old Georgian house for reception with the fire lighting and rich colours; to the dinner and dancing in the Pavilion next door. Having the whole wedding in one location and making it as easy as possible for our guests was key, the fact that all our guests could stay on site also was a huge benefit to our day too, being a (half) Irish wedding, an early night was not on the cards!

The best bits

It was such a whirlwind, I didn’t take the smile off my face all day, so its very difficult to pin point a favourite part. However I loved our ceremony which was held in the Boathouse overlooking the lake at Ashley Park House. The floor to ceiling windows allows the outside to flood in, and the ceremony was so personal to us with so much love in the air, it really was very very special.

Maeve's Advice

Don’t stress about the small details, remember that this is a gathering of all your nearest and dearest who want to be with you to celebrate this special occasion, if the flowers are not exactly what you wanted or the band aren’t up to scratch, it doesn’t matter, as long as there is love in the room it will still be the best day ever!
