Charlotte and Chris were married in Suffolk in late September with a romantic ceremony at St Mary’s Church, Woodbridge, followed by a beautifully styled reception at Bruisyard Country Estate. The feel of the day was inspired by the idyllic Suffolk countryside, with tons of flowers and natural, rustic details.

Charlotte wore Jesus Peiro's 2241 wedding dress, a simple, minimalist gown which made the perfect base for Charlotte to have fun with her styling and choose lots of fabulous accessories. We loved her choice of fabulous pom-pom shoe from Charlotte Mills, and the addition of a personalised embroidered veil was so special and romantic. The look was finished with a chic wide satin headband with sparkly details, also from Jesus Peiro.

A Jesus Peiro 2241 wedding dress

I chose Jesus Peiro 2241, as soon as I put this dress on it just felt right. I knew it was the one after the reaction of my bridesmaids when I came out from behind the curtain! I wanted a dress that made me feel beautiful, like myself, but also that I didn’t need to lose weight for to feel comfortable, or worry about holding my tummy in after all the food and drinks I planned to have on my wedding day! The 2241 had me feeling beautiful just the way I was and I felt incredible all day long! A modern classic!

Dress Shopping

I had my two bridesmaids with me when I found the dress, and my mum on zoom. My two bridesmaids started crying as soon as they saw me in it, and that was a sure sign it was the one!

I was actually very nervous about finding a wedding dress- I really felt the pressure to look ‘perfect’ and I had tried on some dresses initially that didn’t suit me. But as soon as I got to Miss Bush I knew I was in safe hands and immediately felt at ease. I loved the calm, professional and helpful input from Rosie at Miss Bush, and it was the accessory planning that really got me excited!!

After being apprehensive about finding my dress, Rosie really put me at ease and I was so helpful in helping me put together my whole bridal look.

Styling

I wanted accessories to compliment the simple and beautiful cut of my dress- I was immediately taken by the idea of a headband and I wore a beautiful sparkly Jesus Peiro headband. I also had a incredible double tier Jesus Peiro veil with beautiful edging. I am lucky enough to have a talented best friend who specialises in veil embroidery (Hannah Cummings Embroidery), and so of course, a personalised veil was a must do! The shoes I actually bought before I even had chosen my dress (which could have turned out to be an error, but as I say, I was all about the accessories!) from Charlotte Mills.

About the Day

Our theme which our amazing florist created was ‘wild love’. Getting married in the Suffolk countryside that I grew up in meant I wanted to have a nod to a countryside feel; wild flowers and small wooden confetti on the table, without too much fuss. Above all, we just wanted a day that everyone enjoyed, that we enjoyed, and as far as possible had little to no stress for anyone!

The best bits

I loved getting ready in the morning, my bridesmaids (and twin brother), and MUA/hairstylist took care of everything that morning they made sure I was fed, watered, happy, and above all kept an extremely happy and calm atmosphere! Seeing Chris waiting for me at the top of the aisle is also something I will never forget- having that hand squeeze when we met at the top and just being together, getting married in front of all our loved ones, was a feeling I will never forget! Finally, we did a joint speech, and I loved working with my husband getting to speak to all our loved ones in the same room- magical!

Charlotte's Advice

Honestly, I really felt the pressure to look perfect, and to have everything perfect on the day, but really I just wanted a super happy and calm day for me and all my loved ones. My biggest tip is to carefully choose your suppliers as they are a huge part of your day. My MUA and hairstylist (Emily Chantal MUA, Katrina Kelly hair stylist) were incredible, the kindest and calmest soles who I got on with so well and genuinely were a joy to have with me on the morning. Our photographer was also extremely calm, relaxed, and fun all day (Kristian Lissimore) and I loved our florist, who I had a massive hug with the night before as she created the flowers of my dreams!
